Why Helene Milbert chose Dial
The Blue Ridge is so diverse in history, activity and serenity. A short day drive from numerous states, it provides a meaningful family vacation, reunion or getaway. If you are here for a week, drive into Atlanta to the city to see the Braves, Aquarium, Coca-cola or the city. Stone Mountain Georgia is a great day trip or drive north into North Carolina or Tennessee to the Great Smoky Mountains, Asheville or Gatlinburg. Lake BlueRidge is closeby for boating, fly-fishing down the hill or discover the many stores and local restaurants. SO much to see and do in this area!

Beautiful, clean home with all the extras!
We loved our stay at Aska Escape! Along with being clean, the cabin included almost anything you could think of to help make our stay more enjoyable and not having to purchase or pack every little item (lighter for fire, s’mores sticks, wine opener, wine glasses, etc). We had the best stay with our 22-month-old who loved looking for wildlife the entire time we were there. We roasted s’mores by the fire, enjoyed the hot tub, and we couldn’t quite figure out how to get the karaoke machine/CD portion to work, but the microphone worked and that’s all our little guy cared about. I’m sure it’s likely impossible to keep up with it, but our only suggestion would be to do a little bit of weed eating around the common areas such as the fire pit. I also suggest a hose or maybe for the cleaning crew to hose off deck/furniture every once in awhile as the pollen was thick, everything was covered in it and we felt like we kept dragging it in on our feet and clothes. I’m not super familiar with the area, so it may just be next to impossible to keep up with something like that. Either way, it didn’t impact our stay one bit and we are so grateful you shared your beautiful cabin with us! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the feedback and laughing about the microphone. I am so sorry about the pollen. Usually we get up their monthly to do this type of extra cleaning and are on our way up now, but will show this to our cleaning crew to pay attention to this in the future as I’m sure it was annoying.
Glad to hear it was a relaxing time!
Spectacular Family Getaway!
This cabin is AMAZING!! The owners have thought of every little detail to insure your stay is comfortable, fun, and relaxing. I mean everything...from chip clips in the pantry to strategically placed motion censored night lights throughout! It is evident the owners want you to feel right at home.
Some of our absolute favorites:
coffee on the porch with breathtaking views
picnics on the porch (loved ALL the rockers!)
all the movies and family games
peaceful sounds while swinging in the hammock
spotting the family of deer that came to eat at the feeder. (7 to be exact!)
smores and bonfires nightly at the fire pit
grilling and chillin
And the icing was the HOT TUB!!!!
Our favorite things to do in town were the Mercier Orchards (OMG the Apply Butter!!) downtown and antique shopping.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and breathtaking views with our family. See ya soon!!!
Thank you Vilma for the fabulous review! We are SO glad you finally made it up! I hope you felt the peace and love we feel relaxing at the cabin.
Aska Escape was the perfect get away for our family!
The cabin was very inviting and well-appointed with a lot of little details considered. Things like flashlights, nightlights, blender, toaster, precut firewood, etc
The fire pit is beautiful and all the outdoor areas are enjoyable! It was nice to have 3 bed/bath and two separate living areas. If your family likes games/puzzles you may want to bring a card table to free up the dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped even for a large group and the propane grill was great! Washer/dryer in closet of downstairs bathroom-very helpful so we didn’t have to pack so many clothes!
We enjoyed hiking almost daily and on the rainy days we just lit a fire, played games and read!
Enjoyed our time away and would def stay in Aska Escape if we’re in the area again!
Sounds like you all took advantage of all the great activities in the area! Appreciate the feedback!
Perfect Christmas getaway!
We had a fantastic time. The cabin is perfectly stocked with anything you could possibly need including first aid supplies. We saw 7 deer in one morning! Hated to leave.
So glad to hear you got to see the deer and had a good stay!
This cabin was a big hit! Beautiful and cozy! I’m sure I’ll rent here again.
This is a beautiful cabin, nice appointments, good location, quiet and comfortable.
Thank you Larry! Hope you are able to come back sometime!
Just like it states!!
3 couples from Florida fully enjoyed our stay. For whatever reason, we did not realize that one of the bed/bath was a loft but it still worked out okay. We saw deer every day and heard them at night, a few of us even saw a turkey the first day. We had a fire going inside the whole time we were in the cabin and had night fires on 2 nights. We hiked to 2 different falls, and took a walk from the cabin to Van Zandt's store! Everything was GREAT and we all had the best Thanksgiving - great food and friends! We would definitely recommend this property.
Glad you all enjoyed the holiday and nature! Thank you for the review!
