Great location and cute and cozy place

  • 5 of 5

Great location in the historic district and across from one of the many park squares. House is cute and cozy and great place for a couple with loft bedroom upstairs and if needed an additional person could stay on the couch. They also have a fenced in back(and front) yard so works great if bringing your dog(pet friendly).

The house itself is cute and charming, especially with the enclosed garden. However I arrived to find dirty dishes in the sink, open beer bottle on counter. The Internet was not working properly, so I could not use my IPad or Roku device. The TV is just for show. The furniture was uncomfortable. I cannot recommend it. I stayed 2 nights out of 4 reserved.

Enjoyed our one night, so fun to stay in this unique historical home, close to great Savannah spots! So happy our dogs could visit. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Great place, terrbile management

  • 1 of 5

We rented this house for a weeding weekend. The property was in a great location. Upon arrival, we were a little rushed to get to the rehearsal dinner and did not have time to fully inspect the property. When we returned home from the rehearsal dinner, we received a knock at the door from housekeeping at 9pm to clean the property. Housekeeping was shocked to see someone in the home. My husband explained that the house was already clean and sent them away. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the towels and linens were dirty. I texted Liberty Wallace, who I was told was my point of contact with Historic Savannah real Estate 24/7. I did not get a response until the next day. My husband and I ended up having to wash and dry our own towels and linens and actually purchasing more because of the poor quality of the washer/dryer. The following day, Liberty said that she was not sure "what happened" or if the house was cleaned or not and offered a refund since there were no other properties available. That was one week ago and still no refund. I reached back out to Historic Savannah Estate and was told that "I should google the number for HomeAway and call them." I find this lack of customer service extremely disappointing. After contacting HomeAway, I was told that the real estate company is responsible for the refund. Although we loved the house, we will never stay there again or anyplace owned by the real estate company due to our experience. Such a shame

Perfect Savannah Charm

  • 5 of 5

We visited Savannah only for one night, and this was the perfect!. Conveniently located, lovely neighborhood and quaint little home with a ton of character. I love staying in places that have a special quality and this was a one “of a kind” place. Love the loft bedroom (although this could be a bit difficult for older folks). Will stay again in a heartbeat.

Close To Everything in Historic Savannah

  • 5 of 5

This interesting little house is not for everyone (the stairs to the loft bedroom would be a challenge for some), but we (both age 60) loved it. Plenty of room for two. The house faces historic Greene Square and is an easy ten-minute walk from Bay/River Streets. Linda's Seafood (short drive) is nearby and an excellent choice for fresh seafood back at the house. Many excellent restaurants are within walking distance (we especially liked Zunzi's for take-out). On-street parking was never a problem for our Saturday-Thursday stay. If you don't mind walking a bit and are in relatively decent shape, this little house is a great (and quiet) choice for easy access to everything in the historic district!

I bought this darling little cottage in 2005 and renovated in 2008. It's a great place for a couple or three people. Everything is within walking distance in the historic district or you can drive around the square get on President Street and be at the beach in minutes! If this is booked and you'd like another alternative, visit the website or please contact me.
