Great location and cute and cozy place

  • 5 of 5

Great location in the historic district and across from one of the many park squares. House is cute and cozy and great place for a couple with loft bedroom upstairs and if needed an additional person could stay on the couch. They also have a fenced in back(and front) yard so works great if bringing your dog(pet friendly).

Sweet little house!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay! The tiny house is adorable! Tourists come by all day to take pictures of the tiniest house in Savannah.. so watch your blinds! But it made it feel even more special. Our only issue was the tv, it didn't pick up anything. I know you don't come to Savannah to watch tv, however I do like to watch as I wind down. I did not contact Liberty, because my handy dandy husband luckily brought our chrome cast stick and we just used the wifi to cast our Netflix. We were within about a 5-10 minute walk to about anything you wanted so it was a great location. Can't wait to return to Savannah!

Poor communication with owner/manager Liberty Wallace! Actually no communication at all! Called her four times and left three messages. Called alternate contact three times and left two message and again, no return calls. Couldn't get the TV to play regular channels! While that didn't ruin our trip what if the air was broken or a pipe?? Would she have called back? Was she screening calls and just didn't want to bother with me? Very unprofessional!!! The only other issue I would mention is a safety issue. The steps going into the house are too steep and not to code. An added hand rail would make it safer! Had it not been for the lack of communication I would rent again when in town but never again now! A matter of principal and safety!

Owner's Response: The guest called an office landline on the weekend and we always call back when contacted appropriately. The stairs are to code. If you're coming to Savannah to watch tv this is not the place to come. It has a virtual library through Netflix and amazon. Fox News is not available.

Perfect Escape!

We loved our stay in this quaint historic home. The back patio is so private and if you're visiting in April has confederate jasmine which is the most wonderful fragrance to smell while relaxing! Savannah is such a beautiful city and we loved our stay!

Very uncomfortable here. Horrible mattress

  • 1 of 5

Liberty started the contact by scolding me for booking twice on the website. When I called to find out how to get into the house, she informed me that she had 37 "hard check-in's" on Sunday, and so would be "with me" as soon as she could. I left a day early, because I felt unsafe there, and the bed was a nightmare. She acted like telling me how to get in was an inconvenience ---who needs this? I would like my money back. Her response was: I'll pray for you. Really?

Owner's Response: Fortunately it's only once in a long, long while that we get a guest that is unreasonable to the extreme. This single guest seemed incapable of understanding the basic instructions we give to thousands of our guests on simply where the rental is located and how to get in. With years of experience behind us we knew this guest needed extra special instructions and attention which we gave her. Our experience started with her screaming into the phone that our house was navy blue and not pale yellow as it is. That made it hard to know what was coming next from her. She stayed 3 out of 4 nights, left one day early with the front door flung wide open for any thief to take advantage of, and the air conditioner set at 69 for hours. Anyone should agree this is unacceptable behavior when you are a guest in someone's home! Also, dear guests, please note that the bed is a brand new, memory foam, top of the line bed that our guests praise us for. This home has been beautifully restored to a high spec and has been included in Savannah's walk of historic homes. We do sincerely wish that this guest will find peace within somewhere, somehow.

Much better VRBOS to choose from

  • 3 of 5

This was our third VRBO rental in Savannah. We travel with our dog and liked that it had a fenced yard, we also liked the location and were able to walk every where. That's where the pros ended. So now the cons, first it was not all that clean, there is a strip of mold on the top of the fridge and mold in the bathroom. We were there for four nights and they gave us one trash bag. I contacted the owner and she said she would drop one off but never did. They also give you one USED sponge to wash dishes. Yuck, it was sour so we couldn't use it and just bought new ones at CVS. The bed is uncomfortable and the pillows may have been there since the house was built in the 1800s. My favorite part though is the sign that instructs you to take your trash off the property. We sent the owner a message asking where the outside trash can was and she didn't respond, not sure if she meant that we should take our trash with us in our car in order to get it off the property but needless to say we did not do that. Last thing was there was a coffee pot but no coffee, again we headed to CVS to purchase it but in every VRBO I've ever stayed in that is at least supplied. the "stairs" are actually a ladder and very difficult to manuever particularly in the middle of night. Bottom line is it wasn't horrible but we won't be back, there are so many better places to stay in Savannah where just the basic amenities like a sponge and coffee and more than one trash bag is included. We were also disappointed that the owner didn't bother to respond or when she did she didn't follow thru.
