The Cabin is named Lukka - Happyness

The house is a cosy and traditional rural Icelandic house with a fully equipped kitchen, barbeque, fireplace, Jacuzzi with hydromassage, inside and outside showers and a special loft with a Smart TV and a sleeping sofa. The house can host up to 6 people.

The Cabin offers stunning views to Mount Hekla and across the whole south of Iceland. Surrounded by a small forest, framed by the famous fishing river Eystri Rangá which runs next to the cabin.
During the winter nights the NORTHERN LIGHTS shimmer most nights.

The house is situated within driving distance from some of the most spectacular places to visit while in Iceland. Both in the south coast of iceland as well as the highlands (with the Natural pool of Landmannalaugar 40 km away)

Within 30 min drive there are swimming pools, a golf course as well as a modern gym (there is also gym equipment at the house)

The place is quiet and secluded. A perfect place to recharge. Relaxing in the hot tub after a day trip or enjoying a glass of wine on the Terrasse to the sound of the nearby river.

The Cabin is a 100 km drive from Reykjavik

Wonderful Stay

Great quiet place to view the lights!

We really enjoyed this place! The river next to the cabin was beautiful, and even though it’s remote, the views of the stars and the aurora was amazing. Highly recommend!

We loved this place, it was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, beautiful views, cozy and the hot tub was incredible. We even saw the Northern lights one of the nights around 12:30am Great location to see everything in the south❤️

Beautiful Stay

Amazing location with wonderful view, lots of space in the house and simply a nice spot. Especially if you'd like to travel around in(to) the highlands.

Cabin with spa

The cabin was nicely located near a beautiful river and reasonably close to many of the sights. The jacuzzi was much appreciated. We used the bbq every day. The beds could be more comfortable. Overall a wonderful stay.

Fantastic scenery,quiet location,relaxing, great hottub. Home from home, everything you need. Warm & cosy. If u love tranquility this is the place for you. Nice walks by the river. Missed microwave.

Cozy and rustic

This is a well equipped place, snug and rustic. It's a 2-3 minute walk down to the river which was lovely. The drive from the main road was longer than we expected (30 min) but ultimately it is in a good location to reach many south Iceland sights. Communication with the owner was excellent, he responded right away to all questions. I would definitely recommend this place.

Peaceful retreat in the wilderness

Wonderful place we stayed for a week in January 2023. Beautiful walks by the property, with stunning snowy mountain 360 views, and a lovely river at the back. If you like nature and seclusion this is the place for you. The cabin is well maintained, clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed for self catering and well stocked as it's treated as a home, includes good access to Wifi, a lovely hot tub outside. Thor the owner was fantastic checking in and checking out and helping to sort out an issue we had with the water due to the minus temperatures. Thor's communication was excellent. If you come in the winter you will definitely need a 4x4 car to navigate the local road and the path to the property. We had a wonderful stay at the cabin and will miss the lovely peaceful views.

Hütte zum Entschleunigen

Idyllisch und ruhig gelegene Holzhütte an einem Fluss, ca. 30 Min von der Ringstrasse und ca. 1 1/2 Std. entfernt von Reykjavik. Alles vorhanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Kontakt mit Vermieter lief super( auch auf deutsch), er hat sich trotz Feiertage wegen einem größeren Sanitärproblem gekümmert und war stets für uns auch telefonisch zu erreichen. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!!! Danke

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Natur

Tolles Haus bei dem es an nichts fehlt. Besonders die Terasse mit Whirlpool mit Ausblick auf den Hekla ist wunderbar. Super netter Vermieter der sich um alles kümmert.
