Fabulous location for large families and dogs. So much to explore. Extremely responsive host and nicely decorated farm house. Will definately stay again.
Overall our stay here was pleasant. The A/C kept up with the extreme heat outside (a definite plus when it's over 100 outside). There was plenty of space for gathering, or getting away if you wanted some quiet time. The beds were comfy and all the bedrooms had ceiling fans (a big plus!). Kitchen was spacious and had most everything we needed (except there were no garbage bags -- not even one in the garbage can when we arrived, so plan on bringing some.) But they did supply plenty of paper towels and toilet paper. Location was very quiet, yet convenient to everything we wanted to do. Note: Internet connection info is in one of the bedrooms upstairs. The biggest negative was communication with the owner. We asked questions a month before our booking and never heard back. Maybe it was an off time for them. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
This house is something you’d see in a movie or someone’s dream home. Absolutely beautiful property and incredible location! Owner was marvelous and very accommodating. Also the stars at night are breathe taking!

The property has plenty of room to accommodate a large number of guests. However, we were disappointed with the level of cleanliness and the level of things that needed to be fixed/repaired. The floors were filthy and stale water was left in the coffee maker. Also, the house had a strong musty odor, and the water had a heavy smell and taste of iron. There were no cleaning supplies available which is different from our other rental experiences. Linens were of poor quality. We were not given directions to river access even after asking specifically via messaging to the host. The guest bathroom on the first floor had a toilet with permanent staining that made it appear to have urine in it, and the sink/counter was not attached to the cabinet, and neither the sink nor the cabinet were attached to the wall. We expected much more based what was presented in pictures, and the price of rental and cleaning.
My daughter got married at Duplin Vineyards, just a short 20 min drive to the venue. Grandma's Farm was the perfect spot large enough for all out of town family to stay in one place. The property is just as pictured! Tons of sleeping space! Beautiful!
Grandma’s farm was wonderful! Such a great, quiet location, with plenty of room for children and pets. A highly recommendable VRBO. We will be booking again for our next family gathering in the area. Thank you for being wonderful hosts! Excellent communication. High praise all around!
This is an amazing renovated farmhouse! Huge rooms with plenty of storage in every room! A very quiet area with great amenities and great food within a short drive! Jeremiah was available to answer and assist with questions upon our arrival! It was also a quick commute to the wedding venue at the Duplin County Winery!
My eldest daughter was getting married and we wanted to be closer to the venue as we had a lot to set up and food to prep. This residence offered just what we needed: Large kitchen, plenty of room for family/friends, and it was out in the country. There was was dumpster at the end of the road which came in very handy. Did not have any issues and our host quickly responded to any messages. I would definitely stay here again.
We all loved it! This is a beautiful place and it is so spacious - we all had our privacy. Jeremiah was very helpful with the check-in, etc. he contacted me immediately when I had a question. The kitchen was great, with everything anyone would need, even an air fryer and crock pot. The beds were amazingly comfortable. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Wow where to even start with this place. We've stayed in several vacation rentals and this is by far the worst experience we've ever had. First of all, don't be fooled by the pictures and the cutest country decor in the photos. We had many issues with this place and unfortunately for us the host was on vacation and couldn't care less to be bothered with apologizing or addressing these issues. He asked us to contact his cleaning service, when half of those things couldn't be resolved by them. And even then, not really an apology for not doing their job properly in the first place. Here are some of the issues we found during our 8 day stay: broken dining table where someone could have been injured (was told host was aware of this previous to our stay), broken hand towel holder, broken rocking horse in bunk room, mold all over the inside of the dishwasher, 1 kitchen hand towel provided, 1/4 of a travel size bottle of dish soap to wash dishes, all hand soaps were not filled, dirty countertops in kitchen, no trash bags provided, no measuring cups, stains on upstairs couch. In order to clean our dishes I had to go to the store and buy a dish drying mat, dish towels, dish soap, and hand soaps. We asked the host to do a partial refund on our stay for our troubles and frustration, but he again, did not address this at all. We paid a pretty penny to stay here and it was not worth it. The host has several other rentals so beware before booking any of them.
