The Perfect Residence For A Family!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 8 nights, from Nov. 2 to 9 at this property. Our family consists of an active grandmother, daughter, son-in law, 7 year old and 11 month old. With 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a large living room, we never felt crowded. We thought that having a baby with us would be a challenge, but not at this property. With the doors closed, all but my daughter could sleep through the night! The layout also allowed her to get up and be out in the living room/kitchen area, further away from the bedrooms. We were able to take our 7 year old boogie boarding every afternoon because the location is literally steps from the beach. As other reviewers have mentioned, the proximity to an almost private beach, tree house play area, fairly gentle surf, and the use of boogie boards, a cooler, etc., is an amazing bonus. Ewa is also the dry area of Oahu, so even if it is raining elsewhere, Ewa Beach is generally dry. Big thanks to our hostess, Ralena, who was easy to communicate with before we arrived, stopped by during our visit, and really cared about our experience and having things go smoothly for us.

Since our trip was unique, for work purposes and just a tad of pleasure.....this was perfect! The home accommodation was just right for 5 people and we loved the savings!

Relaxing Getaway! (August 2017)

  • 5 of 5

Although our trip was short we accomplished most of the items our family wanted to get done.

Our stay at the island hideaway was great. The host Ralena was very friendly and welcoming. The house was more than enough for the size of our group. The beach was just yards away with picnic tables and chairs available for us. We only wished we had more time so our boys could have done more fishing.

The house was very roomy and Ralena was always available and ready to help us if we we needed anything. The parking was good for our two rental cars. A washer and dryer was available and the air conditioning was more than adequate for the rooms they had despite us being there during the summer heat time.

I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends looking for a quiet getaway with a wonderful host.

A Great Island Hideaway; even better with hosts that make you feel at home.

  • 5 of 5

Everything you see on the photos provided is exactly as is, and it was perfect for our family of seven adults and two young grand children. I was familiar with the general locality of the property, but it was even better upon our arrival. Delays to our arrival didn't allow us the opportunity to meet David and Ralena as planned, but their hospitality and effort to make our stay in their home a memorable experience for my family is something we will always cherish. It just felt like home to us, and that's about the best way I could describe our stay there. Both Ralena and David were very gracious and helpful, especially Ralena going out of her way to assist us to secure a wheelchair/people mover for my wife after she broke her foot on the second day of our trip. But we determined not to let that rob us from enjoying our trip, so we pushed her around on the wheelchair at all the events on our schedule, even at the beach. If you have the appetite to venture out and try different cuisines, I would highly recommend you ask Ralena for some suggestions. We did and we loved every one of the places she recommended. The accommodations was just perfect for our family, plus the amenities on hand for us to use at the beach came in handy, especially with two small children, and having the small half dome cover to shield them while at the beach was just perfect. Thank you both Ralena and David for such great hospitality, we would count it a privilege if and when we plan our next family trip you would consider having us again as your guests in your home. Blessings to both of you and good health, Mahalo or Malo soifua. Pete

Amazing experience for my family

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time booking VRBO and I was booking for 8 of us, if I chose the wrong place our Christmas could have been ruined...Booking this rental was the best decision ever. Ralena and David were helpful, accommodating and very gracious hosts. They invited us to join them for their Christmas Eve feast and festivites on the beach- this is what memories are made of. This rental is in a great loaction, out of the hustle and criziness and yet close to everything that you could want or need. Ralena even put up a Christmas tree in our rental and it was the only lights one when we walked in (my nephews are 9 and 11 and they were impressed). All 8 of us enjoyed the vacation and we enjoyed getting to know Ralena and David. Mahalo
