Incredible spot; hot tub views were spectacular. Even on a rainy weekend, enjoyed ourselves immensely. Host was incredibly communicative & accommodating.
The entire place was extremely clean which we were extremely happy about! Great property, great location, and with a great view! Communication with host was great and they were very accommodating. Definetley planning on coming back. Highly recommend this play!
The listing and reality were quite different. The place inside and out needed maintenance and was not clean. We left 2 days into a 5 day booking.

Hello Aaron, thank you for taking the time to write a review.
In 5 years of hosting, we've never had such a bad experience with a guest. While you say that the place is different than the pictures, you could not explain why.
Further, when we asked if you wanted us to send our cleaners to clean anything, you did not identify any issues.
We sent our cleaners regardless, but you didn't identify any issues.
We understand that you had to cut your trip short, but asking us to reimburse your stay under threat of a bad review is not something we're willing tolerate.
The host responded promptly to questions. The cottage is cosy with a fantastic view of the lake. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of cross-country skiing.
We really enjoyed our long weekend there. The hottub was a lovely temperature and we tried out the new sauna. We had a campfire down by the water where there are Adirondack chairs avaliable and boats for use. There is a beautiful view of the sunset over the lake from there. The steps back up from the beach were a bit challenging for my husband, Chris as they are many and steep, but he took it slow. The fireplace in the cottage works amazingly well and there was lots of good firewood available. The kitchen was well equipped enough for me to make all our meals there. I even used a recipe from one of the cookbooks to make bearnaise sauce. More mugs or cups might have been nice, as we like our tea.The bed was comfy and there was lots of closet space with plenty of hangers and drawers to organize our belongings.Chris found the little library to be well stacked with interesting books, one of which he ordered from our local library to finish at home.

Lovely Retreat
We rented this cottage for a getaway work weekend and it was perfect for our needs! The hosts are lovely, available and keen to make your stay the best possible. The cottage was spacious for six of us, well appointed, clean and cozy. After lots of preparation that we might be chilly, we found that there were lots of heating options including a cozy fireplace. Access to the hottub and the lake were charming, even in the winter time.
Thanks for such a great weekend.
My family had a great time at this cottage, the view from the deck was stunning and the waterfront was perfect for our two young kids (shallow and sandy, however I would recommend water shoes). The cottage itself was rustic yet charming, with plenty of great views of the lake. We were comfortable throughout our stay and the host responded to our questions promptly.
This is certainly a 5 star property with 5 star hosts. Our stay was exactly what we had hoped for and the hosts made sure everything went well. This one is on our "happy to stay again" list.
I stayed here while working in the Ottawa area. Nice and secluded. Clean property on a beautiful lake. The bbq works great and the beds are extremely comfortable. I would stay here again
We could not have picked a better week to head off to cottageland. And did we ever pick a great cottage to stay out of the blizzering heat. The private beach and dock were well used during the week - even our toddler could walk in the water along the shore! We also lucked out by being there when a spanking new state-of-the-art bbcue arrived!
