About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths

License #RHL2011-00197

Welcome to our upscale, executive, downtown Boulder rental. Our quiet, 2nd floor, one-level loft is tastefully decorated and furnished with a modern vibe and wood floors throughout (newer carpet in the master bedroom). The open design gives the 1185 square feet an extremely spacious feel. The floor to ceiling windows give you a beautiful view of the Flatirons and Pearl Street. For outdoor space, enjoy the communal courtyard (shared with just 6 other units) or the private balcony with swivel chairs and bistro table looking onto the mountains and downtown Boulder.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a view of the quiet courtyard, black out blind and loads of storage in the large California Closet. The master bath has a deep soaking tub, shower, toilet and spacious vanity. The second bedroom faces Pearl Street and the Flatirons, has a queen bed, black out blind, its own small closet and an en suite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The bedroom is separated from the living area by a large, glass and metal sliding door (NY City loft style). Despite facing Pearl Street, it is very quiet and guests report great nights sleep.

The open living room with a wall of windows offering spectacular views of the Flatirons, has a Room & Board queen sleeper sofa and another sofa for lounging and entertaining guests. There is a large dedicated work/desk area with filing cabinet, drawers and book shelves (and of course WiFi).

The kitchen offers a 4-seat bar top (higher and separate from the counter top) which works well for a second work space if needed. In addition there is a 6-8 person dining table for dinner parties. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the gadgets and utensils you will need including Calphalon Contemporary pans, a crock pot, blender, mixer, etc.

Our secure 2nd story loft is quiet -- no one above you and the whole building is only 8 units. We have a dedicated covered (carport) off-street parking spot for one car, an elevator to help with luggage and a stackable washer and dryer. Have a lot of stuff and sports equipment? No problem as we have a large hall California Closet offering a load of storage (this is in addition to the large walk-in master closet and small closet for 2nd bedroom). Just across the street, you can rent a bike for $8/day or $11/month from Boulder B Cycle (an automated system).

We have a land line phone, central air conditioning and heating, high speed internet and WiFI and a high end Xfinity entertainment package that includes HBO, Showtime, etc. on the 2 flatscreen tvs (one in the living room and one in the master bedroom). The entertainment system is also equipped with a DVR so you can record you favorite programs.

Most of our guest are either relocating to the area, on temporary corporate or academic assignment, training for elite bike/foot races or visiting the grandkids for an extended time.

We offer one of the most convenient and newly equipped corporate/furnished housing options in Boulder. All dishes, cutlery, towels, linens, duvets, duvet covers and mattress pads are included. You just need to bring your clothes and toiletries.

The view of the Flatirons as well as the close proximity to bus lines and the Pearl St. Mall make it an ideal place to relax and work in Boulder. Our loft offers a great deal of privacy since we do not live on-site but yet I am 5 minutes away so can help with any issues very quickly. I hope you'll consider staying with us!

About Laura Ghayur

My husband, two kids and I have lived in Boulder since 2007 and we love it! Having hailed from Michigan and Pakistan and then living in many places including Paris, London, Washington, Abu Dhabi and Princeton - we hope to stay put in this beautiful, healthful, friendly place.

Laura Ghayur purchased this condo in 2010

Why Laura Ghayur chose Boulder

We first lived in the loft as renters when we moved from NJ to Boulder. We chose to rent it because it was 1/2 block from our beloved elementary school Whittier International and such a light-filled, open and happy space. A couple years later after having become friendly with other owners in the complex, we found that the loft was coming up for sale. We decided to buy it both for rental income and for a place for my parents for extended visits to Boulder.

What makes this condo unique

We love to walk on Pearl Street to restaurants, cafes and shops or hop on our bikes to the creek path. The loft itself is great for entertaining with its open space and hip, groovy feel. It's only rarely available for us to use now but we jump at the chance for a date night away from the kiddos or a girls night in.

Guestbook comments from the manager

February 2016

We love the loft Laura and after three visits, feel like this is our second home!

Later this year, when we have our dates for next year, we will certainly check your availability and keep our fingers crossed!

Thank you Laura for always being so warm and welcoming and providing a home away from home!

Best Wishes

Best summer in Boulder

  • 5 of 5

This was the best (of 3) summer rentals we have had in Boulder: best equipped, nicely located, most elegant, and easiest place to feel at home. There is often a "yuck factor" in a rental kitchen, but the high end stainless cookware meant I did not go out to buy foil pans. Laura was responsive to our every need, and we found more than enough linens, towels, dishes, soap, detergent--you name it. Access to Pearl Street Mall, public transportation, hiking, and all that Boulder has to offer was right at our doorstep. The three summer "experiments" (and grandchildren in the area) have convinced us to relocate to the area. Take a free bus to Chautauqua on the weekend, or bus to CU for Shakespeare festival, and walk back (walking back is downhill); walk to the farmers market on the weekend or Wednesday, or venture farther. We are eagerly anticipating our return.

Wonderful Loft--Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Spent 2 months here and loved every minute. Very comfortable, perfect location with ability to walk almost every where, bright natural sunlight, wonderful view of mountains, safe/secure and covered parking with designated space. Laura could not have been more responsive and the loft is more than fully equipped. Highly recommend!

20th. Street Loft

  • 5 of 5

I rented the loft so that I could be close to my daughter in Longmont and son in Fort Collins. Perfect location to Pearl street, 29th. Street Mall, many restaurants and coffee shops. Laura stocked the loft with anything you might need and checked with me several times to make sure I had everything I might need. She gave me recommendations for grocery stores, hair stylist and restaurants or anything I might need. The loft was modern with an open floor plan. Will definitely stay here again!

Owner's Response: Hi Whitney, I"m so glad you enjoyed your stay in my loft and it allowed you to be close to your grown kids and their families while having your own space and privacy. I like to be able to give my guests lots of local information and be it's great to live 6 blocks away should anything be needed. Please come back and stay again - I love to welcome back guests a second (or third, fourth!) time. Cheers, Laura

We rented the loft for the past two summers and are so delighted with it that we booked the property again next year. The loft is in a perfect location and within walking distance of many excellent restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores and anything else we needed. It is private, in mint condition and also has a great view of the Flat Irons. The loft is open and airy with ideal closet space. It is well-furnished and organized with the ease of the traveler in mind. The owner is very professional and responsive without being intrusive. She checked on us to make sure that our visit was nothing less than stellar.

It was great to be able to ride our bikes out the front door and be outside the city in a matter of minutes. There are many options of places to ride bikes, go hiking or just sit and relax. We highly recommend this property and look forward to our stay next summer.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your positive feedback. I love having you stay in the loft and look forward to your visit next summer. I'm glad you continue to choose Boulder and my loft for your intense months of bike race training. I couldn't ask for better guests and so appreciate both of you. Thanks so much, Laura

Our time at the Pearl St. Loft was wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

I'm so very grateful and pleased with our stay at the Loft on Pearl Street. We stayed for about 7 weeks with our two children and really loved it! We enjoyed being so close to Pearl street, there are so many great little coffee shops and resturants just minutes away. The kids were able to walk or take the bus anywhere they wanted, we all loved the location. The apartment was modern in style, with an open floor plan and lots of light, with floor to ceiling widows, which we really loved. It had everything you needed in the kitchen and even a washer and dryer, which I really appreciated. Also the bath tub was so nice and romantic, both my husband and I enjoyed many baths together there it was very relaxing. Laura the owner is so wonderful and helpful with anything you might need or desire. We really loved our stay and would recommend it to any and all that really want to get a feeling of living in the heart of Boulder or just enjoy some vacation time together.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your rave review. I was so happy to be able to welcome you to the loft while you repaired your home following the big flood and that it was a peaceful and convenient place for your family to regroup following that devastation. We hope to run into you around town again soon!
