Meet Your Home Away from Home
Our gorgeous, spacious four-bedroom home features a full office with a standing desk/dual monitor setup, a home gym, a 2-car garage, and full entertaining basement with a wet bar. We're conveniently located just a quick 5-minute drive from downtown Birmingham and all of its fantastic restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and more!
Nestled on a quiet street close to a big park perfect for the family and kids (and also a quick drive to Royal Oak, Berkley, Ferndale, and Beaumont Hospital) this is the perfect spot for any gathering or getaway!
Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, Amazon Fire smart TVs, French Roast coffee pods + Keurig, Nespresso + pods, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, in-suite washer/dryer, Solimo bath products, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Message us if there’s anything we can help with!

With just a few steps to the front door, our home has a half-bathroom on the ground floor along with the living room, the kitchen, and our executive office. The second floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom located on the second floor has its own en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Finally, our basement (down a full flight of stairs) is fully finished and includes a murphy bed behind a curtain wall, providing a comfortable sleeping space. Keep in mind that the fourth bedroom in the basement is not a true, normal enclosed bedroom but a part of our finished basement which features a murphy bed behind a curtain wall, providing a comfortable sleeping space, but is not configured as a traditional bedroom. The basement also offers a full bathroom with stand-up shower, a home theater area, and a full wet bar with an additional Keurig coffee machine, microwave, and extra glassware!
Our home gym is located in an additional space above our garage. There is a separate AC/Heating unit in that space. It is up a full flight of stairs to the left-hand side of the garage. Refer to the check-in instructions link you received for access information. Please note guests use exercise equipment at own risk.

In addition to two king beds and two queen beds, we have a full-sized pullout couch, a queen size air mattress and a super comfy regular couch in the basement too! Plenty of extra linens and pillows are available to ensure groups of any size have a comfortable, restful stay.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

We have a garage that fits 2 cars. Our driveway can fit 3 - 4 cars in tandem as well and we have free street parking for any extra space needed!

The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the side kitchen door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.
Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!
Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:
- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.
- Use of any exercise or fitness equipment (weights, bands, bike, bench, etc.) is strictly at your own risk. By booking and/or entering the property, all guests and visitors agree that the host/owner is not liable for any injury or accident. Children may not use the equipment without direct adult supervision.

While access to public transportation is not easily available from our house, UBER and LYFT run consistently in the area and are quick, cheap, and accessible options to get anywhere in the Birmingham/Royal Oak/Ferndale and Plymouth/Northville/Canton areas!
