We are just 5 minutes from Las Galeras and can help arrange tours to the beach of Fronton, Madama, Rincon, La Playita, Cayo Levantado, the El Limon waterfalls and other area attractions. He can also make sure you find the supermarkets, banks and restaurants. Since he has worked at the Cove for nearly 20 years, he knows the area well. All my apartments are at the Cove, a small group of beach front, ocean view apartments, just 200 feet from the ocean.
This modern apartment serves as your home base from which you can explore the peninsula. Arrange deep sea diving and sport fishing excursions with The Dive Academy. You can snorkel at some of the most beautiful beaches, including Playa Rincon, Playa Las Galeras, El Valle, and Playa Fronton. Seasoned scuba divers can explore shipwrecks from throughout the centuries.

Come see the humpback whales breach out of the water, from January to March, each year, when they come to mate and have their offspring!!!

In between you and the ocean is the pool, with a swim up bar. Grill local fish on the charcoal barbeque, or stay inside and cook in the full kitchen. It features a view of Samana bay, and a private beach, only a few steps away.

Since I own five other apartments, I can accommodate groups of up to 30 people.

A week of paradise

The condo is amazing. You are secluded and away from everything. Patrick was awesome to work with and Coco was amazing! They both assured we had everything we wanted…Coco even picked up some bananas for me. We loved hanging out at the pool and visiting with other guests. It was a great week of reconnecting with my husband. Even got one of the puzzles out and did it together.

A gem right on the beach

We had quite a third world experience driving from Santiago. The countryside was wonderful but some of the roads and signage were trying. We hear driving from Santa Domingo is much better. Once we arrived, we were very impressed by the meticulous and lush landscaping, well kept pool and secluded beach. We met some great people staying in the cove. Don't miss El Cabito, a rustic site to drink, eat and enjoy the sunset. If you go for a drink and snacks one night you can make reservations for a top quality meal in a unique setting. Also, the trek to Rincon is worth it, driving requires a mid size car not too low to the ground. There are also boat taxis from Las Galeras where there is also a great place for drinks at the end of the road right on the beach. The restaurants in Las Galeras are also pretty good.

El Cabito is always a great time, as well as Le Taino. I cannot wait to get back myself. If possible, fly into Santo Domingo, since half the drive is on a new toll highway, that is an easy drive, and the other half is on the newly renovated portion going all the way to Las Galeras, with new blacktop, lines, and road signs. Enjoy!

The only issues which I encountered with this property were a check-in. The property is located behind a gated community. I was told that the color of the door to get into the community was red. We spent about an hour looking for the red door, but it was actually black. The phone number of the contact person which I was given was disconnected. Luckily, we stopped at the black door since it was the only gated community around.

Nuestra estadía fue buena. Las habitaciones estaban limpias, el lugar tranquilo y el personal muy amable. Ese fin de semana estaban realizando algunos trabajos en el kiosko de la piscina, por lo que no pudimos disfrutar de esa área, y eso hizo que la experiencia no fuera tan completa como esperábamos. Además, la playa tenía algo de sargazo y un ligero mal olor. Aun así, todo lo demás estuvo muy bien. Felicitaciones a Coco y a los demás empleados por su excelente atención y buen servicio.

Mi experiencia en el hotel fue muy buena. Todo estuvo súper bien: la piscina impecable, el personal muy amable, las habitaciones limpias y cómodas, el ambiente general excelente. ¡Hasta los detalles como las lámparas me gustaron! Lo único negativo fue la playa. Lamentablemente estaba llena de sargazo, parecía una pila interminable y no pude disfrutar del mar como esperaba. Ojalá que cuando vuelva ya esté limpia, porque con eso resuelto, la estadía sería perfecta. En resumen, todo lo demás estuvo nítido. Excellent, quiet, and very clean place

It's an excellent choice for people who wants to be on a quiet place with a (almost) private beach for themselves and a beautiful swiming pool. Is a 5 minute drive from the town of Las Galeras with their beautiful beach (same name) and little but very good restaurants. I think i have almost 10 years coming and is wonderful every time i come.

I was there for a short time with my friends but I wish I made arrangements to stay longer. I needed more time to visit some of the beautiful area beaches. At first I was skeptical because where can you find a two bedroom two bath condo right on the ocean, 100 feet to the beach for about $100? Great deal, nice apartment and great location, will be coming back!

The Cove is a little bit of paradise situated just outside the delightful, typical Dominican town of Las Galeras. This is where you will also find our favorite beach La Playita. This is one of many beaches in the area. There's lots to see and do. Our apartment was much larger than I thought it would be and the view was beautiful. It was clean and everything worked. No problem with anything. Coco, the manager will do anything for you and get anything you need. He is awesome. We would learn more Spanish to go back for a visit. The owner, Patrick, was quick to respond and very helpful with our booking and advice as to what to do in the area and how to get there. We had a very good adventure and would definitely go back.

Piece of Heaven On Earth!

Staying at the Cove was the best place that my husband and I have ever stayed at. The spacious apartment with everything you can think of and more. Fully equipped kitchen, linens,towels and everything extremely clean. Beautiful pool and grounds, and very safe. To top it of Coco the person in charge at the property goes over and beyond to make your stay even more special. He made us feel like we were truly home. Patrick the apartment owner was quick in responding and gave us so many information about places to visit and things to do, that makes me want to already reserve again for next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Patrick is very professional and responds quickly to any questions or problems you may have through email. All of the staff was wonderful and attentive. We don't know if it is always this way, but we basically had the beach to ourselves, and what a beautiful beach it is! It was great for swimming, a little rocky, but it is so clear you were able to see where you are stepping. The pool and grounds were kept beautifully. Everyone was so friendly. It is a very comfortable unit and the AC units worked well. There is a colmado and fish shack within walking distances. We were able to catch the fisherman as they were coming in for the day and purchase right from the boat. We were hesitant to rent a car, so we chose to use a taxi, which was very reliable but can get expensive, so we tried a guagua and for those who are adventurous, it was great! It was a wonderful experience and great views while traveling. We would definitely take a guagua again. Coco helped us to catch it, which was right outside the gate. Carmen made a fantastic meal for us, traditional Dominican but superb and she cleaned up afterward. Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect getaway

Perfect beach and pool view nice and clean grounds and comfortable condo. We spent 4 days at the Cove in las Galeras Samana and had a wonderful time I love the seclusion it was truly relaxing. The property owner Patrick although wasn't on the premise was great to work with he gave us good directions but we also found that google maps works perfectly there. The property host Coco was friendly and very helpful to work with. Orgita was our cook she made us so amazing food including a freshly caught fish. Fama was our tour guide he gave us some good tips for places to go see and explore. Definitely will come back!!

This is my escape from the long dreary winters of Northeast USA!! When touring the Dominican Republic, I fell in love with the Samana peninsula. We try to visit a few times per year, and we enjoy sharing the beauty of the island with other vacationers when we are not there.

Why they chose this property

I bought this property, because I got tired of the same old thing. I wanted to do something different everyday, and enjoy nature. I found this place after a tour of the whole island, and when I saw the view of the ocean, and enjoyed a dip in the infinity pool, I knew that I had to make this happen.

What makes this property unique

Here you have the privacy and tranquility of a small beach, but if you drive a few miles, you can enjoy some of the larger beaches like Rincon or El Valle. All of the beaches here at the tip of the Samana peninsula are mostly undeveloped. You can enjoy a true Dominican meal at one of the rustic outdoor restaurants or bring your own cooler with some food and cold Dominican rum and Coke!
