Spacious comfortable condo. Nice pool with adjacent restaurant and bar was also great to have. Lovely views of the fairway of the golf course. Distant views of the water from the bedroom and kitchen. Full size washer and dryer in the unit was definitely a plus.

Great rental!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great property and location to stay at when vacationing on the big Island of Hawai'i.The suite is spacious, clean, and well stocked with almost everything you may need (i.e. furniture, small applicances, etc.We did have one problem while we were there which was handled quickly, efficiently, and above expectations by the renters immediately after they were contacted.Overall, I would rent this property again and highly recommend.

The ice maker in fridge was broken. Kona coast did then get me bag of ice and ice trays quickly.The chairs on patio were broken and the AC in the unit did not work. AC repair tech was sent but could not fix until a part was ordered. Overall the unit is ok but could be updated a bit. Broken mirror slabs tile in kitchen broken. It would have been nice to have another outdoor dining table. There were chairs but no table.Overall the place is ok but needs some improvement. Thankfully it wasn’t too hot and the AC being broken wasn’t much of an issue.

Great place to stay. We have stayed at Kona Coast Resort many times and this was a great unit. The unit is updated and clean and everything worked as expected. The unit has a fun view of the golf course which provides its own entertainment. Would definitely stay there again.

Very little hot water, 2-1/2 sets of stairs up/down; no elevator

When we arrived there were no towels. Management asked us to look in the dryer where they were along with sheets. Manager had folks come and put them up. After showering, called management to ask to have the water temperature raised as there was very little hot water

Problems with recent stay

I have given this listing a rating of OK for several reasons. The unit itself was nice, clean. There were several issues however:There was damp laundry in the dryer we had to deal with.The only roll of toilet paper was the one on the roller.There was no bathroom soap.There was no ice in the fridge freezer, nor any ice cube trays. I noted that this had been identified in a previous review, and it was not addressed during our stay although we notified management about it.There was only 1 dishwasher pod in the unit, and this was also not corrected after notifying management.After notifying management, the soap, toilet paper, and laundry issues were dealt with, and they kindly refunded half our cleaning fee.One thing we discovered several days into our stay was that the resort bracelets and cards did not work when we tried to get in the pool area.Another suggestion would be to get rid of the very uncomfortable bar stool type chairs and table on the patio. We ate most meals inside as a result of this.On the plus side, parking was easy, it was in a great location, had nice trails around the property, and was an east walk to the ocean at sunset after the golfers were done.

Stay was ok with a couple of exceptions

The furnishings were quite nice, newer appliances and a comfortable bed but the VRBO is not managed well. There was no toaster or ironing board, and the ice maker was broken. We purchased ice to use while were there. The mattress was cover was stained with what appeared to be wine or blood. We called for a new one which was delivered. The second set of sheets was found wadded up in a basket in the bedroom closet. There was no Renters Manual or reference document with information about the complex rules (use of the pools, etc) or telling us how to leave the condo (and old manual and an email for leaving the condo was later provided). The property manager works for the owners and should be held responsible for how the property is maintained. We will not be staying here again.

Great place to stay!

We are a family of four, stayed there with our two girls (9 and 16 y) for two weeks. The property is big and comfortable. The apartment was clean, except the bedsheets and towels. We had to washed them ourselves on the very first day. That was the only disappointing thing throughout our stay. We used the kitchen a lot, it is well equipped, it even has a blender, mini oven, dishwasher and some spices. olive oil. We were provided dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towel, trash bags. Also, there are beach towels, beach chairs, a boggie board, we were really happy about that. Locationwise it was very close to everything, to the pool, to both fitness centers. The property manager was very responsive and kind, thank you again, to always answering our questions, and acting fast with the toilet issue. Overall it was a great vacation in this apartment. One more thing to improve, is to install shades or curtains, because in the living room with the sofabed and also in the bedroom light came in and wake us up.

10 days in Paradise

We had a very easy check in on June 20th, the place was lovely with lots of room. The biggest problem was we couldn’t get the TV in the living room to work. It took a few phone calls but Craig came over and got it working for us by Wednesday. It was great having a washer & dryer in the condo. We loved being able to watch golfers on the course, the fans kept it cool and the location was very convenient. We were a bit disappointed in the beach umbrellas; one was broken and the other was small and out of date so it kept falling down in the sand. The chairs & the other beach supplies were great! The other thing was it was about 23 steps to climb to the condo and as 60+ year olds, the climb up with our luggage was rough. And we ate pretty active & in decent shape so I would be very clear about the steps; we would look for a ground/1st floor condo. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at a lovely condo in beautiful Hawaii. Thanks for letting us use your home!

Great condo, great resort, great views

The condo was spacious and well appointed. Wonderful lanai with giant sliders that open up the entire wall to outside overlooking beautiful golf course and great for bird watching. Mauna Kea visible from lanai! Washer and dryer in the unit. A/C in every room plus fans. Very happy with our condo. Only suggestion would be to update linens like towels, bedding, and rugs, and toaster. Very picturesque property resort with pools, hot tubs, shower rooms, and poolside restaurant and bar with live music. Tennis, shuffle board, corn hole, nature trail, and grills. The resort has daily activities including a fabulous authentic hula show. There is a blow hole just off the property that you can go watch the sunset from, or watch it poolside. Would stay here again!

Spacious condo with golf course view

Beautifully appointed and spacious condo. I had planned this stay for my elder sister and myself but when we arrived my sister couldn’t manage the stairs so she found alternative accommodations. The condo is beautiful and great for young and athletic folks but not recommended for senior citizens to climb the stairs cases with luggage and groceries.

Nice but needs improvements

Enjoyable stay. Problems at arrival included half roll of toilet paper and no spares, no paper towels and no garbage bags. Trip to store to purchase. Hard to find small pack of toilet paper. Big TV's in living room and bedroom. However, bedroom TV had no cable and showed that the cable box needed to be activated. Called Kona Vacation Rentals and was told someone would contact me. Was contacted and asked to send photo of screen message. Sent photo but never heard back. Called again and new person said she would get the message to the right person and call back. Never heard back. Didn't need TV, but it was very poor customer service. Several other items, but after poor TV response, never called about them. They were icemaker broken but worked partially and some ice could be scooped out; coffee pot worked, but took 25 minutes to brew a pot; clothes washer works but was full of dried sheets and towels - from previous cleaning not completed. Other minor items were dirty windows, dirty carpets, roaches dead and alive on floor, and window blinds were missing slats and had broken mechanisms. Thankfully, lots to do away from the condo.

Great place

My son and I stayed at Kona Coast Resort for 7 days and we really enjoyed the condo we stayed at. Everything was amazing, the afternoons at the Swimming poll/bar restaurant, the facilities are great. I will definetely stay there again!
