RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #248 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Unit #248 Features: 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit in the Orange Building. Includes views of both the pool and Gulf of Mexico from your private patio.

Close to the beach

Everything we were looking for and more

The property was exactly how described and we were quite happy about how clean everything was. Just a very short walk and you are on the beach. The amenities were very good, beach chairs, umbrella provided. We would definitely come back and stay again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute, comfortable, clean space on the most beautiful beach! Chairs were already in the beach ready to go! The screened porch was another great place for dinners and wine while listening to the waves crash! The pool was right outside the front door! Will be back!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous location and great ocean front rental. However ants in the unit, pool bottom needs cleaning and gravel parking is less than desirable. Rust on appliances and mold in the bathroom. Shampoo and lotions are off brand and not great for the price of the unit.

Terrible Customer Service

My wife and child became very sick and we were unable to travel. We requested to change the dates, which was denied, we then had to cancel and were not refunded any money. We were forced to spend 2,000 on a vacation that we did not take. Terrible customer service experience.

While we hate that this guest had a bad experience, our cancellation policy is the reflection of standard procedure for privately owned vacation rentals. We encourage all guests to take advantage of our travel insurance offering to avoid situations like this.

Very disappointed and unhappy and miss informed about the place.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We paid for ocean front and our facility was not , place was old , bathroom and shower was rusty old water pressure was bad, refrigerator in kitchen was leaking inside and making our food wet, furnitures needed to be washed and cleaned they put a broken light in leaving room bed was noisy and uncomfortable we paid $300 per day for this trashy place We will never rent place from RVA again we found several cockroaches in the kitchen, bathroom and living room ( I took pictures of them)

Thank you for taking the time and providing your feedback. Unfortunately, you are in a subtropical climate and the possibility of seeing cockroaches is pretty high. We have pest control come out to all of our properties once a month to prevent this from happening; however, it is not guaranteed that you will not run into one. Our units are also individually owned; therefore, we will contact the owner due to the state of their property. The majority of the units at Silver Sands face the Gulf of Mexico and some have a partial view, while others have a full view of the Gulf. The pictures on our listing display what the view will look like from your unit, this is also a beachfront unit. Once again, we apologize and our team has been notified.
