About this property

w* | Stylish 2BR w/ Terrace in Parque España

Summary:

The 2BR apartment is located in the center of Mexico City's culinary and artistic zeitgeist, Roma Norte. Perfect for cycling, it is the home for an increasing number of international professionals relocating to Mexico.

The Space:

This beautiful 2 BR apartment in a entirely renovated building with fresh atmosphere with amazing views directly to the park and cozy beds.

Guest Access:

Building has 24/7 security and offers check-in.

The Neighborhood:

Parque España is one of the green areas that give life to the Condesa neighborhood. The neighbors tend to run, take their pets for a walk, sit down to have an ice cream, watch the sunsets or read the newspaper. The park was the entrance to the disappeared Hippodrome of the Countess, since the Hacienda de la Condesa was located there, a prosperous property of the Countess of Miravalle where herds were raised, corn and magueyes were planted.

Getting Around:

We recommend using UBER for transportation

Amazing location

The best thing about this apartment is its location on the border of Roma and Condesa and its view of Parque España. Also, the property management company is extremely responsive. I emailed them at 7 am on New Year's Day about some tiny thing, and they immediately got back to me. That happened several times. They are really A property managers. The apartment was very clean and neat, and there is a wonderful Argentinian restaurant and a cafe immediately downstairs. Also, Mexico City's wonderful public bike system has a station immediately outside. The downsides are 1) One of the two bedrooms faces the street where this restaurant is, and garbage trucks do come by rather early in the morning. We turned our computer into a white noise machine, and that solved the noise problem. 2) The apartment, while neat and clean and so on, is quite bland. It is decorated with muted colors and rather generic art--it seems like an investment property rather than someone's cozy home. I would be perfectly happy staying there again but I also wouldn't particularly look forward to it.

Apartment wasn't ready on agreed date

My husband and I reserved a 2 bedroom apt at Parque España 21 for Feb 6-Feb 12. We reached out on Feb 4 to make sure our reservation was confirmed. We received an email back that the apt would be ready. After a 6 hr flight, we arrived at Parque España 21 at 10pm and went to apt #102 and put in the access code. It didn’t work. We tried multiple times. I contacted the superintendent and it still wouldn’t work. He had to call another person. After 30 minutes, he tells us that the apt won’t be ready for us that night and suggested we take an uber to another Wynwood property at Alfonso Reyes 53, apt 605B. We are exhausted at this point. I don’t have an uber account so I had to call my daughter who we were visiting and she called an uber to this new location. We finally arrived there and went up to apt. That apt was not what we signed up for. We stayed the night there but did not want to stay there for another night. The next day we started to look for other places. We were eventually told that the apt at Parque España 21 would be available for us that day, Feb 7. So we packed our clothes up and moved again to Parque España 21. This time the access code worked. That’s what we had to go through on the first 2 days of our trip. This was a ridiculous situation. I want compensation for the uber rides we had to pay for and I would appreciate some other reduction on our bill for the stress that you put us through. We are very disappointed in the service we received from Wynwood and VRBO.
