Come spend a magical vacation with us and enjoy our comfortable waterfront studio in the heart of Fort Walton Beach. We're close to downtown and shopping, yet our inland location avoids beach traffic and congested parking. BUT, the beautiful white sand beaches of Okaloosa Island are just a short 2 mile drive away. We cherish our 4th floor view of the waterway and think you will, too!
Like most bargain shoppers, our pricing is based on what WE would like to pay for a vacation. There is a small additional fee to bring your pet or if you need a boat slip, and we ask our guests to put down a refundable deposit to protect against any accidents. We take a lot of pride in making sure our guests' needs are met, and welcome your questions about the place or the area. If you have a special situation please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
Pirate's Bay is a marina resort property offering a boat slips for the traveling sailor, and a great place to hang out for the landlubber. Our large marina allows you to stroll along the docks and enjoy beautiful sunsets along Santa Rosa Sound, or spend a relaxing time casting a line into the depths to catch a fish.
This unit provides a kitchenette with stove top, microwave, toaster oven, cooking utensils, a large coffee maker, and a full sized refrigerator. Entertainment includes digital TV service and high speed internet. The sofa opens into a queen sized sleeper, allowing extra bed space for adults or children. An extra air bed can be provided on request. Plus, we would be happy to arrange extra events to fill your free time - ask us about going on a dolphin sightseeing excursion!! Enjoy the good life at Pirate's Bay right on the edge of the Sound, and leave your worries behind.

About Steve Shippee
Steve is a marine biologist in the local area that is involved in marine wildlife response, and studies the bottlenose dolphins in the waters of Choctwahatchee Bay and Santa Rosa Sound. Tara is a child development counselor and therapist. Our goal is to make this quaint condo on the Sound into a special place where guests can enjoy a relaxing time viewing wildlife and appreciating the natural beauty of this waterfront village. We are happy to show visitors around by boat!

Pirate's Bay Condos are very practical studio units with amazing views situated in the heart of Fort Walton Beach. The property is well landscaped and maintained, and is secluded from high-volume highway traffic. We're located close to all major roads and shopping areas but visitors can avoid the congestion and crowds common at the beach. A range of different size boat slips can be arranged for guests, making this an ideal location for vacationers desiring to bring their own watercraft. Trailer parking is also available, and a very good public boat ramp is less than a mile away. We provide the housekeeping, free long distance, plus digital TV and high speed internet.

We just had a great weekend at Pirates Bay B410! The studio was comfortable and nicely furnished! The view was amazing! There is plenty to do and explore without travelling far! Our host was quick to reply to any questions and concerns.
The only complaint, and it is NOT directed to Steve and Tara, our hosts, but to the groundskeepers...someone needs to vacuum the pool!

Olive Gardens restaurant is located directly next door to Pirate's Bay. There are several other great dining and entertainment locations within a short distance of the condo in downtown Ft. Walton Beach. A new restaurant (Ma Ma Nu) has opened directly across the road in 2015 - we've heard great things so far! Santa Rosa Sound is a great place to fish, kayak, and simply enjoy watching sunsets. Destin Pass and Crab Island is about 8 miles away by boat, and the uninhabited islands of Santa Rosa Sound near Mary Esther are just a mile west of our condo. Ask us about taking a boat tour of the area - we would be happy to arrange something for you!

Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will be partially or fully refunded depending on season and circumstances. We strive to work with our guests to provide a friendly and relaxing vacation. We include cleaning in the nightly rental rate, and add a Housewarming cost for supplies and utilities that is not taxable to save you a little extra money.
