just passing through

Traveling France we were looking for something about 1/2 way between Normandy and La Rochelle. Hoped to find quiet spot in rural France to drop in and do nothing for a couple days. Hike, eat and soak in hot tub. The house is located too close to the highway to be considered remote rural, and traffic noise is present all day long. We slept with bedroom window open all night, traffic does stop in the evening, but the trucks and traffic are out rolling early the next morning, ,,,no sleeping in. Patio was being remodeled and there was no hot tub, we elected to forego our second nights reservation and moved over to Nantes.
