About this property

A pied-à-terre near bistros, shops, and sports stadium w/ parking and EV charger

Attention foodies, shoppers, bikers, coffee connoisseurs, and beer lovers! No need to look further: If you love walking, you've found your Portland headquarters here. Creative chefs, bold baristas, and trendy traders are around the corner. From concerts at the Crystal Ballroom and soccer games at the Providence Park to accessible trailheads that lead to our award winning rose garden or the Japanese tea house, we got you covered! Streetcars and max lines are close to further explore PDX. However, should you have a car, we got you covered too with a space in our driveway. We even provide a car charger for TVs! It's a ChargePointe so we can easily see how much each charge is and we mark it up 50% from the home price. We send you the screen capture. Payment can be made through Venmo, PayPal or Apple Pay.

For Tall Folks: There are pipes that are at 6’11” as you enter the place and other more out of the way places for tall guests to be mindful of.

Now for the small print;)
1. Household factors: We live in the house overhead so please note that our weekday mornings start around 7:30am; weekends closer to a 9am start time.

2. Kids: we have 3 kiddos ages 13-16 whose mouths & limbs appear at times to be out of their control, and we're moms who at times shout out orders like set the table, etc. It's your average household noise, but given the ages we thought to mention it here. We try to keep quiet after 10:30pm in the evenings, and we make it a point to be aware of our noise levels at all times and be respectful of our guests. Shari and I welcome texts that we can act on right away so do not hesitate calling any bothersome noise to our attention at anytime. I personally enjoy the power your texts wield over our kids-- truly more effective than a mom saying anything;)

3. City living: you're smack dab in middle of two high streets a block away from you on both sides. 21st Ave is especially known for its nightlife and bars close at 2am. Windows are double-paned to cut down the urban noise. There's a sound machine available upon request to help drown out external noises, and there are ear plugs too that we supply.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Thanks to the proceeds from a previous Airbnb, I've completing a 5 year doctoral program in Chinese Medicine. I've started my practice, Equanimity Wellness, out of my house in 2023 until I have converted the storefront space. Why they chose this property

Before having a family and settling in Portland, my most valuable possession was my passport. Over the decades, I've lived in three continents and have consulted for governments and businesses before settling in Portland. Portland is a great little city to retire to motherhood and a second career because of the great appreciation for the farm to table movement, the sharing economy, and a supportive vibe around children and family diversity.

What makes this property unique

History of these grand houses around this neighborhood are interesting. This one has been a house to international student and Jesuit monks over the years. The storefront in the corner used to be a restaurant, a beer hall and a donut shop from the 1930s-1960s.
