About the property

Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Located on a side street and mere steps from the Mission District's 24th Street Corridor, Casa Treat offers a stellar location to enjoy all that San Francisco has to offer. In the immediate vicinity, choose from numerous cafes, including Philz with their famous Turkish coffee, Haus and its chill ambiance, or the Mid-Century feel of Sugarlump. Fine dining establishments include the New York Times reviewed flour+water, Heirloom Cafe, Schmidt's, Beretta, Local: Mission Eatery, and many, many others. Neighborhood taquerias offer some of the best and cheapest eats around. Dessert and snack options include boutique ice cream from Humphry Slocombe which is just around the corner. Grab a cone and enjoy the historic murals across the street along Balmy Alley. For more fun with food, visit the Gourmet Ghetto or enjoy some shopping along the Valencia Corridor. For ventures further out, San Francisco's transit system will get you downtown in minutes.

Casa Treat is ideal for business travelers, a couple, or traveling companions seeking a fun getaway and private apartment in San Francisco. Our newly renovated building has been updated with Duravit, Dornbracht, and Grohe bath fixtures. The walk-in shower includes a bench to relax as you enjoy the spa showerhead. Organic bedding, a Queen bed with removable topper, and Sony Bravia flat screen TV with cable programming complete the master bedroom. These sun-filled accommodations offer a second room and seating area with a table for two where you can enjoy a snack or work on your laptop via our free, Wi-Fi and broadband connection. The kitchenette is equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, and coffee maker to meet your cocktail mixing, snack, and hot beverage making needs, but chefs be alerted, there is no dedicated sink; Casa Treat is best suited to light dining en suite.

Off street parking with automatic garage door available at an additional fee. iPhone/iPod charger and clock radio, proper clothing closet, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, luggage rack, coffee and tea provided.

Cozy apartment in a popular neighborhood!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I went for a week-long vacation and Cynthia was so flexible with our schedule. We arrived in San Fran around 10:30AM and she was kind enough to let us check in earlier than 3pm. I would recommend getting a car - although driving in San Francisco traffic takes a little getting used to. There are a lot of good restaurants and great coffee around the area. Try to also visit the Marina for some fun shopping!

We loved this place - it was exactly what we expected, and more.

  • 5 of 5

Casa Treat was exactly as Cynthia had described it. It was spotless, perfect for two people, and in an excellent location. We really like the neighborhood as it was close to both a BART station as well as two different MUNI stops. We did not rent a car and never regretted it - the MUNI took us right downtown, with no hassle. The neighborhood is great - we always felt safe, even though we sometimes arrived home quite late - there were always lots of people around and they were very friendly. We ended up spending a day just walking around the area looking at all the murals, and trying out some great restaurants close by. My morning ritual became getting a coffee at Philz, just a block away, and grabbing a danish from one of the many bakeries located on 24th. Cynthia was very nice, with great communication leading up to our arrival. We highly recommend this as a stay for any couple, regardless of age (we are mid-50s). Thanks again Cynthia!

Perfect in every respect

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was perfect — modern, unfussy, light-filled, meticulously maintained. The shower was large enough for a small family! Photos and description captured the property and neighborhood perfectly. Cynthia and Adam were gracious and accommodating hosts. They thought of everything beforehand, so we had virtually no needs. We stayed one week and so enjoyed exploring and becoming acquainted with the neighborhood. No car needed. Most of our travels were by foot, supplemented by the city's excellent Muni/Bart system, footsteps from our door. Our favorite nearby restaurants: Lolo (ceviche!), Flour+Water, Heirloom Cafe, Limon Peruvian Rotisserie (ceviche!), Tartine Bakery (breakfast) and Wise Sons Deli (breakfast). Several were our hosts' recommendations, all excellent and within walking distance from the apartment. The new SFMOMA is a must. The architecture, exhibit space and art have propelled a very good museum to greatness. We are not strangers to San Francisco. However, staying at Casa Treat in The Mission opened our eyes to the city in a way that would not be possible from a downtown hotel.

Fantastic, modern apartment

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was perfect for our stay. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, small little kitchenette area that had everything you needed and the most amazing shower room. We had a fresh towell for every day we were there and Cecilia had left a booklet with all the information you need to know your way round the flat and San Francisco.

We paid extra for the parking spot which was well worth it as it was off road and secure.

The location was awesome, about 5 minute walk from the Bart which takes 20 mins or so direct to Embacardo (central San Fran). Also some really cool bars and restaurants in Mission and the surrounding area. It's definately the trendier part of town.

Cecilia was flexible with our arrival time as it was later than we anticipated and gave us a fab recommendation of a lunch spot down the Big Sur.

Couldn't recommend this place enough. Small and compact but also cosy, it's got everything you need for a fantastic stay in San Fran.

No Trick, All Treat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking for a home base in the Mission district for a 4-night stay that spanned Halloween and Day of the Dead. Luckily our search zeroed in on Casa Treat. The location was perfect for our purposes, but having stayed there, we would happily return even if we were focusing on other parts of San Francisco, as it was super convenient to get around via the nearby BART station and much of interest is within walking distance too. The apartment is truly comfortable. We stocked the fridge with goodies from the Ferry Terminal Farmers' Market our first morning and enjoyed living off of a combination of those and dining at the excellent restaurants in the neighborhood and beyond. Cynthia and Adam were great hosts - totally unobtrusive, but gracious; they invited us to hand out candy with them on Halloween. Treat Avenue to the max - what fun! For the Day of the Dead observance, we were in the perfect position to see the parade and view the altars set up in nearby Garfield Park. What a memorable stay. One travel tip if you will be renting a car following your stay; Hertz will pick you up or pay for your cab fare to its nearby 10th Street location. You don't have to schlep to the airport or pay the airport fees even if you return to the airport at the end of your trip. This option proved very convenient and economical for our onward travel to Mendocino. While at Casa Treat, we did not feel the need or desire for a car. Other reviewers have mentioned the smallness of the apartment; I thought of it more like a large hotel suite. It had every convenience and plenty of storage room even for travelers like us who don't travel light.....think Halloween costumes, cameras, binoculars and hiking gear along with city clothes...... Highly recommended!
