About this property

Seaside Community, Charming Year Round Home, Plum Cove Cottage

Quaint home steps from Plum Cove Beach in Lanesville, a seaside village in Gloucester MA.
The house was built in the late 1800's. It has old charm with wood floors throughout and cozy small rooms. Much of the house has been upgraded for more modern comfort with all new windows, doors, kitchen with granite breakfast counter, full bathroom, heating system, central air, ceiling fans, and lots of New England charm. You will find the wood stairs to the second floor are original to the house and are slightly steeper than the present day code. The landscape is naturalized with granite walls and stairs from our local quarries.
Gloucester is peaceful and quiet during the winter months. The Cape Ann coastline is picturesque in its winter glory, a truly magical place for a winter retreat. The warmer months offer a huge range of seaside activities. Gloucester is truly a gem.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

I'm a recently retired Art Educator who enjoys my two young Grandchildren and summers by the beach in Plum Cove Cottage. I rent the house to guests off season and during the summer weeks when I may be traveling.

Why they chose this property

Gloucester and all of the surrounding area, known as Cape Ann, is a lovely seaside community with year round beauty. Winters are quiet yet spectacularly dramatic by the seaside.

What makes this property unique

The sunsets over Plum Cove Beach vary daily and at times can be more picturesque than you could imagine. Plum Cove Cottage is three houses from the beach. You will find luscious fresh seafood in a wide variety of restaurants, an active art community with galleries galore, and lots of nature for sight seeing, hiking, biking, walking, and boating. Winter months are quiet with the exception of the roar of the ocean.
