Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband and I rented this place to see my son who is at college. Although it was too cold to use the pool in October, we were able to getaway and have a fun time. It was so nice to relax, stay-in the house and cook meals, and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the busy city. We especially enjoyed the sauna, and the canoe rides with the fall foliage around the lake, the swans, and ducks. It was just simply breathtaking. We were also able to get my son's college laundry done with the washer/dryer that is available at the house. This was simply an affordable and great place to stay. Thanks to the owner for being so hospitable too; we will definitely be back.

Perfect relaxing week end

  • 5 of 5

It was a really nice and relaxing week end. All the instructions were clear to access the house and we were allowed to check in earlier.

The house itself was clean. We had towels and basic kitchen tools.

We enjoyed the pool and the bbq all week end. Sauna was really clean also.

Finally, the canoe on the lake was the final touch for a perfect week end. We were also able to check out later.

Thank you again for this relaxing moment !

Family gathering

  • 4 of 5

Good location. Check in was easy. Pool and sauna were terrific. Disappointed upon arrival as I expected the place to look like the pictures. The bathtub and shower were in need of a good scrubbing, rather gross. The door leading outside needed repair. Vines were growing on the side of the house over the air conditioner. The garage was filled with leaves, looked unkempt, lovely home just in need of tlc. Pictures present a pristine condition and this is not the case. Reported My concerns to the contact person and he did respond quickly. I think some monetary compensation is in order when this occurs. Besides that we had a terrific time fishing and boating except for the algae and dead turtles, which cannot reflect on the owner. Enjoyed the outside deck and will return as the location is terrific. The swing, fire pit and picnic table were a big plus. Thank you.

Nice Place

  • 3 of 5

Overall place was great. Garage access could be better, entry way lawn and entrance could have been mowed and area treated for spiders and removed. Home was great inside, but should be treated for ants and spiders, but overall great view and great place.

We enjoyed our stay. It is an older house.

  • 4 of 5

The decor is dated. The flooring has different heights. It could be a tripping hazard for the elderly . Could not move the knob to activate the sauna. It needs more seating in the living room. Four adults could not fit on the sofa. Overall, it was a good experience for the price and location .

Owner's Response: We're sorry to hear about the issues that arose during your stay and wish we had known at the time so we could address them immediately. For convenient seating, there are an additional 9 chairs in the adjacent room that are easily moved. In the future, please let your guest contact know if you have questions or need assistance with anything. We want to make sure guests have an excellent experience in this home. Best, The Evolve Team
