Summary:
Newly renovated hilltop studio layout with breathtaking Pedernales River views! Relax in the hot tub or by the fire pit. Perfectly located in the heart of the Texas Wine Trail—just minutes from Fredericksburg, Johnson City, Hye & Albert. Peaceful getaway with 2 queen beds and 1 twin bed, ideal for wine lovers and small groups.

The Space:
Riverview Ranch offers a relaxing escape with panoramic views of the Pedernales River right from your backyard. Enjoy sunsets in the hot tub, sip wine by the fire pit, or simply soak in the peaceful Hill Country atmosphere.

Centrally located in the heart of the Texas Wine Trail, you’ll be just minutes from Fredericksburg, Johnson City, and the up-and-coming towns of Hye and Albert—home to some of the area’s most beloved wineries, distilleries, and live music spots.

The home features two comfy queen beds and one twin bed, perfect for couples, small groups, or a girls’ weekend getaway. Whether you’re winery-hopping or stargazing from the hilltop, this is your place to unwind in style.

The Neighborhood:
The house is close to all the great wineries on the Texas Wine Trail. 15 minutes to Fredericksburg, 15 min to Johnson City and 10 minutes to Hye. Great center location!

Other Things to Note:
Please remember to bring firewood for the fire pit. While we do not stock firewood, it can be purchased at the nearby Shell station.

Fishing is welcome, and while previous guests have had some success, we can't make any guarantees! :)

Although we are located right on the river, there isn't a convenient access point due to the steep terrain from the land to the river. Please proceed with caution.

Additionally, please note we have routine spa maintenance scheduled on either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday each week. Typically, spa maintenance will take roughly 15 minutes, and the spa will be available for use after the service is completed.

The host was very attentive and prompt to respond. The setting on the river is very nice and pleasant. We were disappointed that the hot tub would not heat up beyond 84 degrees during our stay. We chose this location and paid a little more to have this amenity on the river. It would be a great location and floor plan for a family to enjoy.

This IS a Happy Place

Arriving and staying at Riverview Ranch was smooth and the entire place has a joyful and peaceful feel. It is a short drive to Fredericksburg's shops and restaurants and you pass lots of places you'll want to stop anyway while you're in the area. We loved having a place to stay away from the crowds. We will stay here again!

Perfect Hideaway

Perfect little hideaway about 15 mins. outside of Fredricksburg. The bungalow’s (open concept) interior and furnishings were so cute. The backyard had a very nice patio; hot tub, fire pit and the Perdnales river backed up to the property. There was a little platform with two oversized chairs to relax & drink a glass of wine. The host furnished coffee & a bag of ice which was a nice touch. Overall, I would stay here again.

Week Away

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing four days at Riverview Ranch. We were looking for comfortable accommodations away from Fredericksburg, yet close to some wineries we visit and that is what we got. I would recommend this rental to anyone needing some quality alone time. The spa and the river help to ease the blood pressure and calm the muscles and the mind. Good stuff.

Weekend get away

The place is nice and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The hottub was clean! It is perfect for a couple , or a family. All of the beds are basically in the same room, from the center of the house , you can see all beds and couch, just fyi. Sitting down by the river was nice, would be nicer if owner trimmed the trees so you could see down the river. Overall, I give it 5 stars, cute , convenient little place.

Great LITTLE House in great location.

Pros: - Great Location on the primary road for wineries - Great Host- Clean House 100%Cons:- SMALL. If with a partner or 4 persons who are very close no problem, but there will be zero privacy in this house. - Hottub. We did not use the hot tub during our stay as the chlorine smell was strong and the girls were uncomfortable using it.

Hot tub disappointment.

My Aunt and myself came for a relaxing get-away.. hoping to enjoy the hot tub every evening. The house was clean and location was perfect. The only complaint we had was with the hot tub. It looked okay but a strong chlorine odor Monday, Tuesday had“film”across the water. According to the information packet… it gets cleaned either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday weekly (approx 15 min). We arrived on Monday… so the film was disregarded by us but expecting to have a clean beautiful hot tub by Wednesday evening was a huge disappointment. It was now cloudy and terrible. We called and they did respond quickly, unfortunately it took several hours to clean and refill, much less warm up. So did not get to use it to the full extent (2 out of 4 evenings) checked out Friday morning. They were very polite and we would come back and stay there again despite the hot tub issue… I just wouldn’t wait till Wednesday to see if it got cleaned before calling. 😊

Not what we thought in Stonewall

Rented Dec 30 - Jan 2. Pictures on VRBO are misleading. You are not isolated or alone. There is another rental about 70 feet away. On the other side is an abandoned house with "keep out" signs. Hot tub is in clear view of house next door. Bathroom is dirty with ratty towels (actual holes in one of the towels). Lots of safety hazards (steps up and down in house, bathroom closet full of stuff around the water heater, loads of cleaners and trash under the sinks). Worst of all, a horrible sewer gas smell from the toilet. Contacted manager who simply said "sorry" and that he would contact maintenance (never saw them). This house is decorated like someone just opened a storage unit and used whatever was available. It looks like it was cute at one time, but a "management" company has it and it's just functional at best. There are also cats outside and a man from the neighborhood will literally walk up every morning to feed them. In addition, a yard man showed up and blew leaves for about an hour starting at 8:30 am on NYE morning. Again - the property manager said "sorry." There are proper kitchen utensils, etc. I found the ironing board in the water heater closet and the iron under a sink. The hot tub did work and was very nice but the neighbors were sitting outside next door in clear sight of us so no privacy whatsoever. The Pedernales runs behind this house and is a short walk down to the river deck.
