Your own private alpine lodge awaits at this luxe six-story retreat just outside downtown Truckee 🌲. Tucked among the treetops with distant mountain views, this stunning hillside home offers multiple fireplaces, decks on nearly every level, and a dedicated billiard room—perfect for unwinding after days spent hiking, skiing, or exploring North Lake Tahoe.

Set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the home feels secluded yet ideally located for year-round adventure. Historic downtown Truckee is just over six miles away, Donner Lake is 10 miles west, Northstar California Resort is 14 miles south ⛷️, and Kings Beach on Lake Tahoe is 19 miles away.

Enter on the top floor, where a convenient bench and hooks make it easy to shed your gear, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame peaceful treetop views. Just half a flight down, the great room brings the kitchen, dining, and living areas together beneath soaring natural-wood ceilings. The chef’s kitchen features upscale stainless steel appliances—including a French-door refrigerator, gas range, and double ovens—ideal for preparing meals to enjoy around the dining table or during cozy board-game nights. Relax by the gas fireplace and stream your favorite movie to end the evening 🔥.

On warm summer days, step onto the multi-story decks to savor the crisp pine air with morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset 🍷. In winter, head to the second-floor billiard room for friendly tournaments, snacks, and fireside lounging beside another gas fireplace.

Bedrooms are thoughtfully spaced across multiple levels for privacy and comfort. The primary suite occupies the entire third floor, complete with its own gas fireplace, a spa-like bathroom with jetted tub and shower, and direct deck access. Two additional bedrooms are located on the fourth floor (one with deck access), with two more bedrooms on the first floor. A private laundry room and complimentary WiFi add everyday convenience.

Parking is available for two vehicles in the driveway. Please note that the garage is not accessible to guests.

This home is strictly not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets are not permitted. If evidence of a pet is found, guests may be charged an additional fee for specialized cleaning to remove pet hair or dander.

Top notch property.

This is as one of the nicest rentals I’ve ever stayed in. High end everything. Way more than enough space. Incredibly fair priced. Will return for sure.

A lovely peaceful sanctuary

The trees and the views. The quiet. The funtastic pool room and bar. A large yet cozy home. Lots of adventures: saw a bald eagle! Went to a hot springs! Gorgeous fall hike

Windsor property

Great location. As family lives in the area. Pros, house is large, all accomodations are as shown. Although no AC, there is a ventalation system that cools the house every evening. Negatives, no access to garage.

Winter getaway

The house was beautiful and spacious. It was nicely located near the downtown area. It would be helpful to list that there isn’t access to the garage in the property listing. Also, it would be great to have access to brooms and mops, especially when staying a few days. One issue when a neighbor was yelling for us to stop laughing so loud while playing a family game(inside the house) before the 10pm. So just closed the windows. Overall, it was a fun time and the house was great! Property management was very responsive! Great customer service.

Good space, some minor nits

The house was really wonderful - it more space than we expected. The layout lists many floors, but the house is more like a split level. That said it's very spacious and its accoutrements are very nice. The house doesn't allow renters to bring in pets, but the house did have evidence of a pet (a cat?) being there, which caused some unanticipated allergy issues.

Beautiful stay, but things you should know

Beautiful property in a quaint neighborhood in Truckee. It is obvious that the owners use the property often, as such the house is stocked with nicer items than would typically be found in a vacation rental. My only complaint is much more of the house is off-limits than typical vacation rentals. Many doors were locked, no access to the garage, pantry. All the audio equipment is behind behind lock and key, so if you were enticed by the surround sound speaker, as advertised in the photos, unfortunately, you will not be able to use any of it. The den has a has a projector with surround sound audio and Blu-ray player, again, none of it accessible. I spoke with Vacasa, the vacation management company, and apparently this denial of access is by owner preference. Other than that, it is a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains.
