Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great stay at Eoin's house. The place is huge, spotless clean, cosy and bright. It's perfect! Everything was super smooth and simple with reservation, leaving the house etc. Eoin was super flexible with check in and out times and gave us a lot of recommendations and help to find different stores etc. We had a very positive experience, and we highly recommend staying at Eoins' house!

Thanksgiving on Long Island

  • 4 of 5

Our family had a very nice time in this house. All of the rooms were a nice size and the deck had a very nice view of the water. The appliances were all in working condition but the kitchen could use more dishes and silverwear, thankfully, I brought enough paper and plastic to offset that. The house could use some tlc in regards to the drywall seam tape falling off, quilts on beds and seating in the livingroom, although there was plenty it was all very uncomfortable. House was in a nice quiet neighborhood and Osprey Park was a very nice short walk from house.

Relaxing weekend

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend. The home was not far from smith point beach where there is live entertainment on weekends. We enjoyed the small park within walking distance( Osprey) of the home. The owners were WONDERFUL TO DEAL WITH. So helpful with our first time using Homeaway!

Senecal Family Get-together!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a wonderful short stay. The weather was absolutely beautiful. A short walk to really nice quiet Osprey Park (1 block away). The house has everything you will need. It was extremely humid while we were there but the A/C helped tremendously and keeping the blinds closed helped also. Lots of direct sun. We never were able to get wifi to work - so didn't bother with it. It's Beach Time - Enjoy it! The owners were very responsive & helpful with any ??'s we had. Nancy Senecal Peacock, McLean, NY!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the great review Nancy. Hope to see you back soon, let us know if you have an issue next time like the wifi etc. The cleaner came after your stay and found the router wifi switch was turned off unfortunately. Thanks again and looking forward to hopefully seeing you back next summer.

Cozy Home for Large Groups

  • 4 of 5

The house is relatively close to all the main attractions: beach, hamptons, vineyards. Had a group of 8 people who stayed at the house, and it was comfortable for everyone with lots of space. Although the house is a little older, we didn't mind it because we were out for most of the day and only came home to grill on the deck.

Owner was kind enough to extend our check out time since there weren't other guests who booked right after us. Great for us to explore more of Long Island.

Thanks for a pleasant stay and being flexible!

Big, spacious home close to the water

  • 3 of 5

We rented this house for a family reunion in Mastic Beach. The place is very large and spacious: huge living room, big kitchen and table that seats 8, 3 good-sized rooms, 2 full baths, and 1 half bath. Our family: 3 couples, with 2 toddlers each, were able to fit comfortably in the house (we had to bring a few air mattresses and travel cribs). The house gets great natural light and has partial views of the water. It is just down the street from a pier and nice playground. This was a great feature for us, since we were traveling with young children. Also, the owners were very responsive leading up to the trip and during the trip. They were very prompt and helpful. On the downside, the house could be maintained better. For example, some closet doors were missing handles, some slats on the lower balcony and on the outside stairs were missing, some window screens were damaged, and some of the pillows and mattress covers were stained and needed to be replaced. Overall, the place needs a little TLC and attention to detail...and then it would be great.
