Waterfront Home with Dock! Amazing Views! Close To Beaches!

A waterfront house overlooking the Great South Bay and Fire Island with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms plus additional private outdoor shower, dock, kayaks, large wraparound decks with grill and outdoor dining table with umbrella, and open-concept living room/kitchen with wood-burning fireplace!
The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood, directly overlooking the bay and wetlands. Great area for boating, kayaking, fishing, or simply relaxing. Walk to Smith Point Beach on Fire Island in 20 minutes! National wildlife refuge with hiking trails also nearby. Drive to Hamptons or North Fork in 25 to 30 minutes!
Appliances includes refrigerator, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, 80-gallon hot water heater, and fully equipped kitchen. Internet and television provided. The private driveway accommodates up to 4 cars.
Note: for the safety of our guests and ourselves, there is a doorbell camera outside the front door.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Peter’s beautiful home on the bay. Fabulous waterfront views from the outside decks as well as inside the dining and living room. The home was very clean, spacious and comfortable for us. Kitchen was great to cook in, and the beds were very comfortable. Peter was a great host, hope to return again someday.

Stunning, beautiful, tranquil views!Truely a perfect beach house.My favorite moments were sipping coffee on the deck in the mornings. This house was roomy for 6 of us.A few updates are needed because of how the saltwater air eats away at electronics and such, but we absolutely loved it.

Beachy keen!

Great location right over the bridge to Smith Point! Easy access to the beach and nightly music during the summer. The house has space for all and the dock has frequent visits from mallards and swans. Peaceful and lovely. Great hosts!

Peaceful getaway

The view of the sound from the deck, or from the kayaks, is incredibly relaxing. We really enjoyed our week with children and grandchildren.

My favorite stay on VRBO

I have used VRBO and similar apps for vacation stays. This was my favorite. Location on the water, value, the house, kayaks, amenities....All Perfect. Peter was a very good host answering all inquiries in a very timely manner. I would stay here anytime I return to this area of Long Island.

Beautiful home for family getaway

We had a wonderful time gathering around the extra large dining table, enjoying the peaceful views from the extra large wrap around decks and spending time at Smith Point beach. I loved looking at the art, maps and unique collection throughout your beautiful home. Thank you!

We had a great trip and stay . Everything was clean and beautiful. The house is a treasure and the owner was a pleasure to work with. Definitely will be back. The area was perfect many stores. I would definitely recommend especially for the summer the views are priceless.

Fabulous !

Best part was watching the sunrise on the water every morning . View was breathe taking! Since it was October and got cold enough to start a fire in the wood burning fire please , it was great! Pete was very helpful whenever we had questions . Thanks for a great Stay!

Fantastic serene family getaway

We had an amazing time at Bill’s place. The house is clean and comfortable and every detail is well thought out. The location is great: quiet and close to the beach, and the views from the decks are sublime. Not much success fishing but lots of fun trying. Kayaking on the peaceful bay was excellent. We all enjoyed it so much, that our only wish was for more kayaks so we could go out as a family. We look forward to planning a return visit.

Just wonderful!

The views from the deck were stunning! I didn’t want to leave! The house is incredibly well equipped, comfortable and we couldn’t wish for a more perfect vacation. I honestly can’t think of any constructive criticism. We will be back!

Great Place to Unwind..

The beach house has everything you need for a family vacation. Five-minute drive to the beach. Easy drives to Patchogue, Port Jefferson, Sag Harbor, Montauk, Greenport and all the wineries in between. Or just sit back and enjoy the view from the upstairs or downstairs decks. Great communication with the owner. I highly recommend.

A real Thanksgiving!

A better place to have a family Thanksgiving will be hard to find. We came from Manhattan, Washington DC, Connecticut, and Richmond VA to share in a family gathering. The home was warm and spacious and had everything we needed to bring our holiday feast together. The Bay views were magnificent as was the sunrise and sunsets. Family vacation

Clean and close to the beach, this home was perfect for our family get away. Beds are great, kitchen stocked, towels in good condition, decks are large and great, kayaks are in good condition, living area is very spacious and open, beach is great for kids, Stop and Shop close by, great area and neighbors. By far the cleanest rental we have stayed at. Bill was amazing! So accommodating and thoughtful. Thank you for the memories!

Heavenly

We had a glorious week; the views are stunning and so relaxing...we couldn't take enough of it in and so enjoyed the duck and swan families. Peter was a terrific host. He was so responsive to any questions or needs. The house was well stocked, clean,spacious with the wonderful wraparound decks. We had our boat there which made the week really perfect for us. The location was convenient and so close to the beach. Had a nice meal out at a good spanish restaurant but mostly grilled and ate dinner with gorgeous sunsets. Peter's home was just right for us and we will be back!

Revisiting this Wonderful haven

This is our second time revisiting this wonderful house. I can’t say enough about the incredible location of the house-on the water, incredible views, 15 minutes walk from fire island beach. Bill is a wonderful host that even made sure to get a tandem Kayak for our second visit, in addition to the 2 he had, so we could go kayaking as a family. The house is super clean, very specious and have everything we needed-kitchen equipment, laundry, grill on the terrace, you could go fishing from the doc, and the highlight is the outdoor shower! We loved it and will be coming back again. Thank you, Bill

Review of our stay at 44 Sherbrooke Ct, Smithpoint

Very nice vacation home located on the bay with gorgeous views of wet lands and bay. Most anything you need to make the stay comfortable was there, even clam rakes and knives for opening the clams that we dug nearby. Although there were many windows on the second floor that could be opened for the cool breezes off the ocean and bay there are days when the wind is off the land, probably 3 or 4 days during August and these days the upstairs can be quite uncomfortable since upstairs is not air-conditioned. One or two ductless air conditioners would solve this problem. First class floating boat dock and plenty of kayaks.

Priceless View

I cannot say enough about Bill and his desire to make our stay a wonderful one. The communication before, during and after gave us a feeling of security. The house itself is wonderful and stocked to entertain and enjoy. From plentiful towels to tissues and flashlights on the nightstand, he really thinks of everything. Let us not forget about the firewood supply! (my personal fav) The views are breathtaking and the top deck was equipped with a safety gate as we travelled with a 2 year old. Thank you again Bill! I want to encourage everyone to stay at your home, but let me put in my weeks for 2021 first! lol

Pete and Renee bought this house in September 2022. We live in New Jersey with our children and hope to spend time at the house occasionally during the summer and throughout the year. When we're not there, we'd love for others to enjoy the beautiful views and fun activities. The previous owner rented the house through VRBO for ~10 years, receiving many, many 5-star reviews. Our goal is to continue providing exceptional hospitality to our guests!

We bought this house because it is close to our relatives in the nearby Hamptons, allowing us to visit our family more often. Also, the waterfront location and views of the sunrise/sunset, wetlands and Fire Island are amazing. The house is directly on the bay and within walking distance of the ocean. A beautiful place to stay all year round.
