Beautiful Custom Log Cabin - Majestic Mountain Views

Enjoy the peaceful, majestic, picturesque, views from our custom built log home, 'OWLS ROOST'.

'OWLS ROOST' offers a 180 degree panoramic view of Grandfather Mountain, Valle Crucis and a beautiful western sunset. Our home provides a warm and cozy setting for your enjoyment and relaxation.

'OWLS ROOST' is conveniently centrally located between Blowing Rock, Boone, and Banner Elk. It is also close to Linville, Sugar Mountain, and Beech Mountain.

Our home has two bedrooms on the first floor with queen beds and one full bath. The living room and dining room have vaulted ceilings and a large stone fireplace. The kitchen has all the amenities and is well stocked with all of the essential cooking utensils. The second floor has the master bedroom with a king bed and a full bath with a large jetted tub. The second floor also has a loft area with a sleeper sofa.

The lower level has a den, game room ( foosball, and and an arcade game over 50 games). The lower level den has twin beds, and a separate bedroom with a queen bed. The lower level contains a full bathroom as well as a washer and dryer.

The house is wired with Wi-FI.

The house offers two covered decks and a third open deck with a large Hot Tub.

'OWLS ROOST' is the perfect vacation get-away no matter what season. Experience four distinct seasons where you can enjoy: skiing, skating, snowboarding, sledding, hiking, shopping, fishing, rafting, and much much more.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Empty dishwasher, make up beds as you found them.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No more than four people in the hot tub. No outside fires. All garbage must be taken away from the premises.
During the Covid-19 crisis, we are requiring a minimum of 24 hours between renters for everyone’s safety.
All holiday weekends require a minimum 3-night stay.

Owls Roost

This is a beautiful piece of property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were there for four days three nights. The property was very clean, very spacious, and fully furnished to our liking. There were eight people in our group, this cabin is very spacious and accommodating for all that were there. I would definitely stay at this cabin again, and I would recommend it for anyone that is looking for a place to stay.

Great property with beautiful view. Cabin had everything you needed. Sleeps alot of people. However, the road/driveway is curvy and very narrow. Kinda scary but it is paved. You also have to bring your own linens. But again, the cabin is GREAT, clean, and secluded!

It is listed in our VRBO listing description when she made her booking and also received another reminder about a week before her stay in our Confirmation Letter This has been our policy for over ten years. Our New Year Vacation

Communication with the owner was great, cabin was awesome, and views unbelievable, but understand to get a great view you have to drive to the top of the mountain, which was a bit challenging.

Owl’s Roost Private and comfortable

If you want privacy and a beautiful, well appointed cabin at the top of a mountain, this is it! Bring your own linens, and stay for a while. We were sad to leave this hilltop oasis.

We are living is Greensboro and have been residing here for 43 years. We enjoy sharing our cabin in Valle Crucis and want others to relax and enjoy all the amenities that we provide. We like the close proximity of the house to the three towns (Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk).

Why they chose this property

We built our log cabin after numerous trips to the mountains. The scenery, weather, activities, and restaurants offered the perfect, restful, get-away for us. Our children loved the area and always found plenty of things to do.

What makes this property unique

We looked all over the mountains before deciding on where to purchase a lot. We were always pulled in the direction of Valle Crucis. The vintage setting and the close proximity to nearby towns was a major factor in our location pick.
