The place was exactly what we had hoped for, but on Saturday the shower backed up and and we were without a bathroom for 8 hours. We were told to find something to do and that we couldn’t use the water or bathrooms until the figured it out., plumber found roots - which happens. Disappointing for not being able to hang out at a place we still paid full price for.

Dear Tina, as you mentioned in your review this was an unforeseen problem that we could not have planned for. Once notified, we hired a plumber immediately to fix the problem. You never made any mention of your displeasure at the time and seemed very pleasant and understanding. I wish you would have contacted me directly before leaving a negative review.

Nice cozy cabin with a boat dock
Downstairs: Cabin has 3 single bunk beds in a small entry way room just as you walk in. Small kitchen combined with living room and dining area. One full bathroom with a shower. Upstairs: loft with two additional beds, balcony and 1/2 bath. Nice back yard with a fire pit and a boat dock. Plenty of parking in the lot across to accommodate additional vehicles and trailers. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The window A/C unit in the living room is old, loud and is not big enough to cool off the entire cabin sufficiently. Great place to relax and recharge.

cute cabin, don't rent the pontoon!
Clean, modern cabin with ample amenities. Easy access to Partridge Lake and the Wolf River. Very disappointed when we rented the pontoon for the weekend and it didn't start. Help came to address the dead battery vs. defunct started but were hesitant to turn off boat once on the lake for fear of inability to restart. Same issue presented on day two. Ended up leaving a day early because plans to boat didn't go through. Although requested, a refund for boat rental was refused.

Unfortunately this guest really took advantage of our property. We have pictures proving thirteen cars parked in the yard overnight, plus a tent set up sleeping even more people, despite the fact she claimed their would not be more than six guests. Out of good faith we didn't push the issue and charge her for the extra guests even though this is a clear violation of our agreed rates. This guest decided to leave early not because of any boat issue, since she never notified us of any problem with pontoon on the second day of use. We learned two weeks later that she did have trouble starting the boat the second day but only because she did not use the electric choke and high idle features which we gave her printed instructions on how to cold start the engine. We have rented the pontoon to hundreds of guests and they have all loved it and not had any issue.

Nice Weekend
My friend and I rented the cabin for the weekend for our Bachelorette party. We enjoyed the cabin itself and it was very pretty and the fire pit was nice. The waterfront part of the rental was really just a ledge that had not place to dock a boat up to (at that location). The other locations along that same waterfront had boats docked but it was made for that. In order to go swimming you will have to leave the location and go to the public beach. I would suggest bringing your own cutting and eating utensils. The ones provided were not enough and the Knifes did not cut well at all. The kitchen dining and living room are all one room and it is a small stove and fridge. Truly; overall, it is a very nice cabin! We all enjoyed our selves and I would recommend to others.

Thank you Heather for your review and suggestions. We actually just got done building a dock for this cabin, so for your next visit it will be ready for your boat. I will purchase new cutting utensils as well. We take pride in our property and want our guests to enjoy it for years to come.
We enjoyed our time at this property and it worked for what we needed. We were a bit disappointed that the second day of our trip the water on the inlets and the lake was completely green. We had hoped to spend the day on the lake using the provided water toys and the water was just to green and stinky. I don't know if that is normal for this time of the year or not. The morning we left we had also hoped to be on the water, but it was still green. We really appreciated having the kayaks, stand up paddle boards, the canoe and the bikes to use, that was a very nice perk. The cabin was clean and worked well for us. One other issue was our son is 6'5", so the bunk beds were too small for him, but he made it work out the best he could, that is a normal problem for someone his size. Rhonda came down to bring us the keys and see if we needed anything which was very nice.

Cheri, I am glad you enjoyed your stay at cabin. While it's not typical to have a green color on the lake it may happen a couple times during the summer following a heat wave and several days without wind. We hope you can stay with us again in the future. Rhonda
Rhonda and Gordy are excellent hosts. The cabin is adorable, we greatly enjoyed our time there.
It was so relaxing to be at Rhonda and Gordy's cabin. My sister's and I had lots of time to catch up on each other's lives and we enjoyed discovering Fremont
Was very nice Cottage, great location on Partridge Lake and Wolf River. Had everything we needed. Was able to park our Pontoon and jet skis by their dock. Was an added bonus that they had kayaks, paddle board, wakeboard, swim mats, and bikes for us to borrow for free. Would highly recommend
Cozy place. We had a group of 6, I couldn’t imagine fitting 9 in there.
My only real complaint is that I wish all the beds were made so we could choose. Not all the bottom bunks were made, we’d prefer that over a top bunk. And the beds in the loft were soo warm we couldn’t sleep up there and some ended up on the couch or an unmade bed
The cabin was very clean and with 2 teenagers in tow we loved having two bathrooms. Everything we needed was there. We spent time in Fremont, New London (tubing), and Waupaca (eating and kayaking). Such a beautiful area. The water craft available were shared with the people at other cabins which we did not know but luckily the other parties did not use them so my son spend a lot of time fishing on a kayak.
Very homey small, but deluxe log cabin. Interior was immaculate and fully furnished. Comfortable and cozy. Off the beaten path, but centrally located to many things that we wanted to see and do.
Considering all of the other options in this area, this was a step above the rest. Clean, unique, on the water. We thought the small "kitchen" would pose issues, but it was just right for our group of 6. Just what we were looking for for Fremont area, just wish the weather was as accommodating.
We had a great weekend at the Evergreen Lodge! Rhonda was so easy to work with. The cabin was beautiful and nice and clean. We also loved the outdoor fire pit area! We will definitely be staying there again!
