Welcome to The Red Star Cabin! This charming and cozy cabin is nested on the side of Cartwright Mountain just above Lake Fort Smith. This area of the Ozark Mountains offers plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as hiking, fishing, swimming, boating and kayaking. The cabin is centrally located to many amazing State parks such as Lake Fort Smith, Devils Den & White Rock. This is an ideal place not only to enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities but also close enough to enjoy all that Fayetteville or Fort Smith has to offer Historic Garrison Avenue, Judge Parker's Museum, The Marshals Museum, Razorback games, Dickson Street, wonderful restaurants and festivals. The cabin has a rustic charm with modern amenities making it the perfect blend of comfort and nature. ***The property is located on a dirt road that is steep. In the winter months when it is snowy or icy a 4 wheel drive vehicle may be necessary. If you are pulling a large trailer a 4 wheel drive vehicle may be necessary.

The place was just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The kitchen is stocked with lots of basics and the grill and table on the back porch was perfect for an evening meal.

This cabin was AMAZING and just the getaway we needed. It was clean and very well kept. Completely ready for us when we arrived. We are planning to take another trip and stay here again next year. I Highly recommend this cabin!

Perfect hot tub for two my wife and I loved it. Didn’t get to use the fire pit but will next time we stay. Great place to bring groceries and just not leave for a few days. The kitchen was amazing. The bed was comfy. We cannot wait to go back.

My wife and I stayed at the Red Star Cabin for our Anniversary and it was so nice to get away and have a quiet and peaceful setting on our trip. We will be staying again on our way back through. Thank you Jennifer for a great experience!

We didn’t want to leave! The cabin had just the right amount of space for 2 people. I enjoyed the hot tub and my boyfriend enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the birds and the view. We can’t wait to come back. Very easy access to Ozark Highland Trail!! Just lovely.

Great stay!

It is off the beaten path which is what we wanted. We ate at a local restaurant and the people were friendly and offered good service and food.

Wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy, tastefully furnished and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Our only complaint is we couldn’t stay longer.
