About this property

Waters Edge! Right on the Lake.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Direct lakefront, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, deck, dock, tons of parking across the street. New .5 bath downstairs, new full bath up. New beds and mattresses. New floors downstairs, great deck for entertaining , grilling, fishing, or just watching the kids play in the water. An hour from Montreal, 45 minutes to Burlington. Leave your cares at the door, this is going to be fun! More new pictures of the bedrooms to follow. NEW Owners added a mini split AC system, keeps the downstairs cool, helps upstairs. Please ask about that!

Evoking images of a simpler time is this classic New Englander cottage. The cottage began its journey in the 1940s in Danbury, CT. It was shipped up to Vermont by train and Oxen powered wagons. It found its forever home on the shores of Lake Champlain on the Alburgh peninsula. From that time forward, it has been a source of pure whimsy and enjoyment for all who enter. It features three bedrooms, bathroom and living room on the second floor. The first floor features a kitchen, family/dining area , laundry room, and half bath. The home is enhanced by a huge lakeside deck that gives you the feeling of being right on the water, because you are! The property boasts 119' direct lake frontage with nice beach area and gradual entry to the water. While the home has modern amenities, it retains the charm of yesteryear and is waiting for new memories to be forged for generations to come!
Please be aware we cannot be responsible for weather, and Lake water level. That’s Mother Nature’s job.
There is a grass lot across the street with tons of parking. Boats and trailers welcome!

I live across the street, so I’m very available!

Although we list the property as a max of 8 guests, we prefer no more than 6 adults. Families with children are the exception, to 8 guests. If you have special circumstances, please send me an inquiry.

We do allow one dog, up to medium in size, not to be left unattended.

Also, this home operates on Lake water. All faucets are filtered and potable.

Waters Edge

Wonderful stay, we really enjoyed our time by the lake. The kids had a lot of fun swimming and kayaking. Beautiful sunrise, it's a great place to relax and recharge.

Directly on the lake

Nice cottage directly on the water. Great view, big windows, able to swim and kayak right from the house. Downstairs is all newly renovated, with kitchen, laundry, dining and living room area. Upstairs is retro cottage with three bedrooms, bath, and more living area. Quiet road, close to state park and Isle la Motte. Property is fenced along the road so very private but not fencing that would contain a dog. Very well equipped kitchen and extremely comfortable beds. We really enjoyed staying here, watching the sun rise over the water. Easy drives to the islands.

Loving the lake life

This lakehouse was very comfortable . My Adult kids wished they had air conditioning upstairs because they needed to remote work and it was very hot upstairs during day . We enjoyed swimming in the nearby state park beach . It was good to have the owner near by because one day we had no water and he came over and fixed it right away

A water's edge rustic retreat

The location with its dock and water access just outside the door couldn’t be better. House water was UV santitzed and available throughout the house. The only issue we had was, due to stability issues, uneven floors, raised thresholds, and inclined access to the street. This presented challenges when walking making it a cautious choice for persons with disabilities. This issue affected only one person and nobody else was bothered by the flooring. We also brought our 14 pound dog and she absolutely loved it and did not want to leave.
