The inside of the home was very charming and looked to be newly remodeled with nice furniture. (We especially enjoyed the massage chair!) It has all the amenities needed for a long stay. Would visit again!

We loved the porch and location. You were out of the city but could be in downtown in 5 minutes. The kitchen is well stocked. I cooked twice in it and they had all the basic needs. The beds are more comfortable than a lot of other rentals we have staying in. The table is large enough for 6 people comfortably.

Family visit

The home is an older home on several acres just outside city limits. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. When we called the owner she was quick to respond. There was was traffic on the highway but it wasn’t too noisy. It was relaxing to sit in rockers on the front porch, and everything we needed was close by.

Serenity

The property is beautiful had 4 deer on the property last night and 1 across the road. The location is great, a country setting but so close to town. The beds are very comfortable. Well-stocked kitchen and Bath. Beautiful decor tastefully done and no clutter. Very clean. Easy communication with the Host and quick responses. We found our home away from home each time we come to Neosho.

Neosho Stay

Hot Water has to be ran for a long time before it will get hot, we had to take cold showers the first night, the second night the water was hot finally. WiFi does not really work, so don’t count on being able to watch TV, or work on laptop, etc. Check In information was not sent at any point before the time it states when check in is.. and then it was past 2:00 almost 2:45 before I was able to actually get the information to check in. The house is very clean, AC works great. Beds are super comfortable. Wonderful Views. Right in town as well.

I Don’t Think This Is The Review They Wanted….Dishonest Owners and Mice Feces Everywhere…Disgusting!

Due to concerns health and safety concerns, we had to leave this property. Infested with mice! Feces everywhere- floors, kitchen counter/drawers/utensils, bathroom tub dining room table…disgusting. And the property owners knew about it beforehand, continued to rent it to me, and when I asked for a partial refund due to my concerns, they direct me to the “policies” that are in a notebook on the dining table, which were not pointed out nor disclosed prior to the rental. Not even when they showed up unannounced after we checked in to bring “some stuff for the mouse problem.” Conveniently, these policies state there will be no refunds for issues resulting from pests…too bad that wasn’t disclosed prior...when I rent from VRBO I expect my accommodations to be clean and private. Both of these concerns were violated during our brief stay. These renters are dishonest for not disclosing the problem/policy beforehand. One says “Just so you know, the housekeeper told us about the mouse, so we brought some stuff for that.” She proceeds to tell me that the previous renters had left trash to pile up outside and it attracted a mouse. However, the other, while setting traps and POISON around the kitchen and basement (I have a small child!), tells my husband that “this happens every time they harvest the hay in that field over there.” Hmmmm…which is it? Reprehensible behavior to rent in this condition and not disclose! It’s also inappropriate to keep asking the guests to “give a good review.”

Amanda, We are dearly sorry to hear about your stay. As the host of this house I make sure before and after every stay that this home is in tip top shape and ready for another family to enjoy! We take pride in our property and would never put anyone especially a child in a situation that may be a health risk or cause danger! We do remember on our way out of the home after bringing you more toiletries to cover the guest who were not disclosed in your request to book asking for a review as we do with all of our guests! We just love to hear about your stay with us and make sure we’re doing everything we can to keep the home at its best! Again, we are sorry to hear about your idea of your stay! Thank you!

Host profile image

It’s been in our family for years and we love to share it with everyone. Hard to beat the location!

What makes this property unique

It’s on the outskirts of town but yet close to town. Close to hickory creek, walking trails, parks, fish hatchey, the town square and Resturant’s.
It’s sets on a hill over looking the valley.
