About this property
Peaceful Cabin on Lake Sleeps 18 w outdoor kitchen
Relax at this peaceful waterfront log cabin on 3.8 wooded acres with 2 sides right on Douglas Lake. Enjoy a genuine all-wood log cabin (no sheetrock) experience with top-quality Amish furniture and plenty of space to connect. On the 3 large waterfront patios, enjoy cooking in the large outdoor kitchen with plenty of seating for large groups, then relaxing around the large fit pit on the outdoor patios that are lit at night. In the Spring and summer, swim off the dock, grab a free kayak, and enjoy the day on warm, clear water. Rent our pontoon boat or bring your own boat and dock it right at the cabin. In the fall and winter when the lake is drained enjoy the beautiful getaway scenery on the 3 porches or 3 patios, the warm hot tub and a nice drink around the warm fire pit (with free firewood), a game of pool or air hockey, great movies on the 2 large screen TVs with high-speed internet with plenty of safe space for kids to play outside, and a short ride to all the activities in Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
Enjoy a convenient, huge parking area for those with large groups.

Note 1: The water in the lake is slowly drained by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) starting in September, to where we usually take our boats out by 1st week of October, and the lake slowly drains to being completely dry by early December. TVA fills it back up in early April. It is usually completely filled back up by the end of April. See online pictures of what the view of the lake looks like in the fall and winter. In fall and winter, it is a great peaceful cabin experience on a large lot with good views, a hot tub, fire pit on large patios, an outdoor kitchen, a pool table, arcade games, foosball, lots of safe room for kids to play outside, and close to all the local activities.
Note 2: The guest who books the cabin is required to sign a renter's agreement (e.g., guest will not sue us, guest will follow house rules) through an external link, which will get sent to you automatically after booking. The guest who books the cabin is required to pre-approve a $500 damage protection deposit that is 100% fully refunded 3 days after checkout if no damages are incurred and the guest follows house rules to not disturb the neighbors. The security deposit is not charged to your card until after your stay if and it is only charged if there is damage or if a house rule was broken.
Note 3: The owners of this cabin live part of the year on site in a very small cabin that shares the driveway and parking lot with this large cabin. The owners also live part of the year in Maryland. They are usually on site in TN in the summer in order to rent the pontoon boat and jet ski, and are usually in MD in the winter. The rest of the year will vary as to where the owners will live. When on-site, the owners are available to help with any problems.

Why they chose this property
In the Summer we love the clear, warm water of Douglas Lake and being right on the lake on 2 sides with a beautiful view and 3 huge patios to view it.
In the winter we love being out secluded in a top quality cabin in the woods with the fire pit, hot tub, and close access to all the activities on Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg.
