One of my all-time favorite rentals. Easy to find excellent location near the waterfront, tucked in and perfect for a private restful stay. This cottage was full of thoughtful details, beautiful decor, comfortable beds, and unexpected snacks. Great for a solo traveler. The back outdoor seating area was an added bonus. Grateful to have found this spot and only wish I could have stayed longer!

Very cleverly created cabin and tastefully decorated. All the amenities you need and then some! Phyllis left goodies that we were so happy to see as we could not stop for lunch. The back patio area was a great plus, and very enjoyable.My only complaint is that I expected the property to be near the water - if not on it as a dock was advertised, but there is no water close.We did enjoy or stay and Washington is a great town to explore.

We had every thing we needed and more for a week long stay. Hostess was amazing. She showered us with extras. Guesthouse was stocked with everything we needed. The place is obviously well loved and cared for. The bed was so comfortable and that is #1 important to us. Thank you Phyllis for helping us feel at home away from home.

Our stay at Pamlico River Retreat was wonderful. The cottage was cozy and comfortable. We loved the location because it’s close to everything. We appreciated the snacks, toiletries and beverages that were provided. The highlight was the rear outdoor covered patio. The furniture and decorations made the space feel very welcoming. Phyllis was an excellent host making sure our needs were met and provided snacks and a push bike for our toddler. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed in all manner of hotels, but this was our first Vrbo experience. Phyllis was a kind, attentive and gracious host. She reached out ahead of our stay and asked about our preferences, and if we had any questions about the rental or the area. She came out to greet us in person upon our arrival. And throughout our trip, she answered questions and provided supplies to make our stay more comfortable. The cottage was very charming, and well-appointed. Phyllis had an abundance of kitchen tools, cleaning supplies, towels, sheets, etc. We were there for 10 days, and with one or two minor exceptions that were easily remedied, we lacked for nothing. Comfort-wise, it's a rustic, "studio w/ loft"-style cottage with a metal roof, a full kitchen, dining table, and a beautiful private outdoor space with a grill and plenty of room to relax. It was, for the most part, a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. If you go into the experience with realistic expectations, you should have an enjoyable time.

We loved our stay for a holiday trip to visit family and this space was magical. We loved the big open room and loft area. Phyllis was an amazing host (and Earl too!). We would definitely stay again next time we visit family!

Excellent property and experience all around! Phyllis really goes out her way to ensure that travellers feel comfortable and taken care of. The snacks, drinks, and amenities are the best at any VRBO I have ever stayed in, including larger and much more expensive properties! Don't hesitate to book this property if you are in the Washington area!

Clean and cozy cottage. We stayed here for a few days to visit family and it was great to have our own space at the end of the day. We really appreciated the snacks and drinks provided!

Pamlico Place was a nice place to stay. It’s amazing how many little touches Phyllis has done to the place, plus free drinks in the refrigerator and snacks on the counter really was a blessing. She thinks of everything like bug spray near the back door and toothpaste and other toiletries in the bathroom in case the traveler forgot something. That’s a thoughtful and thinking host. Thank you, Phyllis.

Very cute property close to downtown

We loved the rustic feel (like an up north cabin) while enjoying all modern amenities. Super clean, very comfortable bed and due to the colder temps, we liked having the heating element in the bathroom.

If you are considering this rental, don’t hesitate! It’s clean, cozy, and comes stocked with everything you could want or need. The downstairs bed was comfy. The outside area is a bonus! We hope to return sometime soon!

Great house, super clean, excellent location.

One of the nicest VRBO's I've stayed in. Very nicely decorated. Definitely, the most well stocked with waters, snacks, etc. Great back patio. Plenty of parking. Close to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Adorable Cottage

This cottage was absolutly adorable and Miss Phyllis was awesome. She had snacks, refrigerator stocked with drinks and everything you could think of. We will definately be regular visitors when in town.

Stayed for a wedding nearby & the hostess went above & beyond! Everything was there & some, even brought snacks & was extremely accommodating! Definitely recommended.

Wonderful stay at Pamlico River Retreat

We really enjoyed staying at the little cottage over the July 4th weekend. Little touches like provided snacks and plentiful chilled water were very nice. The exterior patio was a welcome place to sit at night. The downtown was a little far for us to walk to but could be convenient with a bike ride. Phyllis was very sweet and thoughtful throughout our stay.We will be back!Lisa, Stuart and Banjo

Cozy and Clean!!!

Phyllis was a great host and very accommodating. Everything was so clean and she had goodies waiting for us when we arrived! Phyllis provided everything so we didn’t even need anything. We loved hanging out on the back patio, so nice just to sit and relax! Plenty of room to park our boat which was an added bonus! We will definitely be back to stay again!

Amazing Getaway

Went on an interview in the area. This place was not only a clean and comfortable space but had all the necessities to make a home away from home. Washington NC short vacation

Phyllis was a great host, and the property was immaculate. The cottage was so cozy and relaxing. Everything one needed was supplied by Phyllis. Snacks, drinks, and she even had treats for our Shih Tzu. We enjoyed lounging on the back porch/patio. Overall, we had a great weekend. I would say this is the #1 rental in little Washington.

Wonderful New Property

My husband and I can’t say enough good things about this new property. It was just as it appeared online and the outside area was just as fabulous. The house was well appointed and spotless! We did not bring our boat this trip but it will be a perfect location for parking a truck/boat trailer. The property is so close to the waterfront area and it easy to drive over for the shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend this property!
