Fisherman, Birders and Family retreat! Sleeps 4 , pets welcome

A quiet getaway that is less than a mile from Howard Marsh, and only a quick drive to Maggie Marsh, Maumee state Park and Meinke marina. It is in close proximity to a marina, with ample parking for a boat. Free boat ramp 7mi drive. This welcoming house will provide comfort during your stay wherever you decide to adventure: birding, fishing, swimming, or just relax. Home is pet friendly. No weight limit.

We provide a breakfast treat to enjoy during your stay along with your coffee out on the balcony or on the way to the Lake.

The unit comes with AC, Wi-Fi.. Our VRBO is within driving distance to several popular parks. An ideal base to explore northwest ohio.

Kayaks are available to use upon inquiry ($25/day)

Cute, cozy, perfect for a birding getaway! Everything listed was accurate. The care and heart that went into making sure we had a perfect stay was so endearing. I had a wonderful birthday and I can't thank you guys enough! Will definitely be back in the spring for warbler migration :)

When we pulled up to this property, my husband and I were very apprehensive. The properties surrounding this one were extremely dumpy, cars everywhere in the yard. Falling down curtains, overgrown weeds, etc. The cabin inside was decorated nicely and seemed clean. The host had baked cinnamon bread, which was very kind. The bedroom was upstairs, but unfortunately there is no bathroom upstairs, making it very difficult for anyone who needs the bathroom during the night. My husband and I are in our sixties, and this setup would be impossible for us. The advertisement for this cabin did not state that there was no bathroom up a flight and a half of stairs. We notified the host that we were going to head home because of this. She told us there was an adjoining property that had a first floor bathroom, so we moved to that one. This second cabin was nicely decorated also. The first floor bedroom bed was one mattress, pretty much on the floor, although it did have a first floor bathroom! The second "bedroom" was the loft with ladder and a mattress on the floor. No standing up there! It would be fun for kids though. The bed was not comfortable and too small for us. It was not a pleasant stay for us. I would not recommend it.

Had a great stay here! The owner left cinnamon bread which was a nice bonus. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Also, it is close to parks which have lots of opportunities for birding. I would definitely return.

The Fishermans Retreat was exactly what we were looking for, for our Erie Island adventure! It was clean, comfortable and in the right location. We were provided all the comforts of home in this cabin. The check in procedure was seamless and we really enjoyed our stay. Just wish we had more time to explore the area!

Perfect!

Nicer than the photos! This was perfect for us, we just wish we were able to stay longer, as we were just driving through! Hope to come back when we have time to enjoy the area more.

Dogs birthday

I was under the impression we would have water right outside. And i did not knoe there was another cabin 10 feet away. However, i didnt dive in to research and my dog still had a lovely time for her birthday. We also were left homemade bread that was delicious.

A Cute Little Cabin

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in early June while we were doing so birding and exploring in the area. It was cute and cozy and had everything we needed. Very quiet neighborhood right across the street from Howard Marsh and just down the road from Magee Marsh and Maumee Bay State Park. Very convenient for birders, boaters, and fisher men and women. We would rent again.

Nice Get Away

Well equipped, comfy, and close to the marina. The owner is easy to communicate with. Highly recommend! Oh...the cinnamon bread left for breakfast was fantastic! Thank you!

Perfect Weekend Retreat

This is my second time at the Fisherman's Retreat, and I can't wait to come back! This is the perfect location, and the home is equipped with everything you may need. The beds are comfy and have great pillows. I enjoyed the wildlife, as it was abundant with birds chirping. The balcony is a great place to sip your morning coffee while taking in the scenic view.A great quiet getaway with an amazing perch dinner two blocks away. I will be visiting again soon! Great birding spot

Our stay was really comfortable, but the best part was how close the property was to all the birding hot spots we wanted to visit! We will definitely be back!

This is an unique house that has a neighboring home that had been vacant for years. We are in the process of renovating it so that visitors can book a vacation with their family/friends. Be assured that no construction will be taking place while you are visiting. :)

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

It is close enough to route 2 to get to where you would like to go with ease. For birders and those exploring the outdoors, it is very close to all of the local parks Howard Marsh ( recently expanded), Metzger and Maggie Marsh. It is also close to Maumee Bay State Park that includes lakeside and a man made beach.
