A Perfect Wedding Weekend

We rented Eagle Mountain Lodge for our wedding weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Absolutely zero complaints. The views were beautiful and Sara and her family were incredibly accommodating. The house is even more beautiful in person. We enjoyed playing games, cooking in the kitchen, and sitting out on the porch, enjoying the views. There’s not a thing I would change about the weekend. I’m so thankful that when we look back at our wedding, that we spent it at Eagle Mountain Lodge!!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Might be the most beautiful property in the area, and the views are magnificent. We spent a week and it wasn't enough! We are a cooking family, so we made every meal on the property just so we could stay there and enjoy the surroundings. The kitchen has pretty much every implement you could ask for. Very highly recommended.

5 star all the way! The host was gracious and communicative. The property was everything promised and more. Personal touches galore. Gorgeous Retreat

We attended a wedding in Ellijay with our family and friends and needed a home to accommodate our party. There are not enough words to explain how beautiful the home and property are! The tranquility of the water feature as you enter the front door was amazing and the view of the mountains is unsurpassable. The home flows so nicely and we were all very comfortable! There was nothing that we needed and couldn't find, everything was spotless! Eagle Mountain Lodge is the best, thank you Carol and Sarah!

Amazing house

Our extended family of 12 had a wonderful stay here to celebrate some milestone birthdays. The house is so beautiful, we didn't want to leave. We have rented many houses before for large family gatherings, this was the best equipped with respect to dishes, cookware etc. Sarah is a great host and very responsive; any issues were addressed immediately. She even arranged for balloons and champagne to be set up upon our arrival. Loved our stay.

We travel frequently with the family and this by far is part of everyone’s top 3 vacations and this home is a huge part of our why. From the start, the host was nothing but phenomenal, quick to reply to our questions. We booked this property to celebrate my father in laws birthday and have a Thanksgiving getaway. We had full itineraries for our trip and scrapped it to just give ourselves time to enjoy this beautiful home and the surrounding areas. The kids comfortably hiked around the surrounding area, saw endless wildlife and spent almost everyday outside by the river exploring. The house was fully equipped for us to cook every meal in including a full Thanksgiving. The game room was a huge hit and the home caters to large families and kids perfectly. The bedrooms were spectacular, best sleep I have gotten away from home. The pillows were five stars. The cleanliness of the home was great as well. I typically travel with a cleaning setup for vacation rentals and spare sheets and there was no need the home was spotless sheets and towels were all fresh and clean as well. The host made sure every detail made this feel like home away from home. Our whole family can’t wait to go back and create new memories.

Wonderful Family Christmas

We just returned from our stay at Eagle Mountain Lodge - it was everything we imagined and more! Our family celebrated an early Christmas with grandparents and the tree and holiday decorations added to the already beautiful design of the home. The house was very comfortable, had everything we needed and Sarah was an excellent and responsive host. Our kids loved the movie theater room, hot tub and game room - the adults enjoyed the view and having a fully stocked kitchen to create memorable family meals. The bedrooms are all super comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of 12. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend!

Our beautiful mountain trip with family!

My family just returned from an amazing trip to Ellijah, Ga. Our 5 bedroom home was perfectly situated atop Eagle mountain with amazing views and sunsets. We also saw many deer, foxes and wild turkeys. The house was beautifully decorated along with original artwork painted by the owner. All the amenities were fist class and easy access. We also enjoyed renting a boat for the morning on Lake Blue Ridge, fishing at a nearby pond, eating lunch in downtown Ellijah, and driving to a few of the wine vineyards for a tasting. Absolutely beautiful!! I highly recommend this home for your next visit to the mountains!!

Eagle mountain lodge was the perfect place from driving up, to entering the home with the sound of a running brook. We walked inside the beautiful, roomy living area and the notices the covered outdoor space - 10 ladies woke up to the morning sun while watching the deer and drinking coffee . This home was fabulous- it was filled with all the amenities of home. It was a perfect girls weekend getaway - we didn’t want to leave! It is great for a family too - we all want to make this our every other year adventure! everything was easy when we arrived and just as simple when we left - we will definitely be booking this again! Sarah was so very helpful with any question we had and was always available if we needed anything. Lots of seating - Well stocked kitchen - bathrooms were great - hot tub a plus!!! Just so much - we loved it!

Eagle Mountain Lodge was more than we could have ever hoped for! From the moment we walked in the front door to touring the home and then to seeing the spectacular view outdoor — we were in a state of amazement!! It was all as beautiful as we hoped for. The Christmas tree added so much to our Christmas spirit! The home was so clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. From the board games to the ping pong table (our favorite) to the hot tub and fire pit, there was never a dull moment. Greeting the deer every morning was a treat. Nothing short of perfection!

We just got back from a 5 day stay at Eagle Mountain Lodge. We have stayed at many VRBOs and home rentals around the world and I can honestly say this was the best home we have ever stayed in! The house was stunning inside and out, the home decor was gorgeous with impeccable attention to detail, the mountain views were breathtaking and our host, Sarah, was first class. She responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had prior to booking. She sent us a “welcome package” that provided us with instructions on all amenities, what was supplied in the kitchen, bathrooms, etc and provided us with a seamless check-in/check-out process. There were 12 of us staying at the home celebrating an 80th and 28th birthday. We took advantage of every room in the house. The game room was fun for all ages, the theater room was great to watch football, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the hot tub was awesome after a long day of hiking. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer! We would definitely book again or recommend this home without hesitation!

We’re Carol and Ronald Kirby, owners of Eagle Mountain Lodge—and for us, this home is truly
a family creation.

It all began with a simple idea from our daughter, Sarah: instead of searching year after year for
the perfect vacation rental, why not build it ourselves? What started as a dream sketched on
paper became a reality when our son, Paul, brought it to life.

Our vision combined bespoke charm with thoughtful functionality—easy access, inviting spaces
to gather or unwind, comfortable seating for everyone, a fully equipped kitchen for large meals,
beautiful views, and activities for guests of all ages.

As a professional portrait artist, I embraced the challenge of creating artwork for the lodge,
sketches of animals as well as playful folk designs on furniture, walls, custom designed doors,
and other handcrafted creations throughout. One of my greatest joys was designing the
children’s bunk room, “The Treehouse.” From a vision of custom log beds to painted
headboards, “Hibernation Hollow,” and whimsical woodland details featuring foxes, rabbits, and
squirrels, every corner was created with our grandchildren and your little explorers in mind.

Paul exceeded every expectation in bringing this home to life. My favorite feature—the
suspended bridge over the waterfall—perfectly reflects his creativity and craftsmanship. When I
asked for a ramp to improve accessibility, he went above and beyond, designing a beautiful,
functional solution along with countless thoughtful details throughout the property. Paul balances
his passion for building with running his own company, all while being a devoted husband and
father.

Sarah, whose idea started it all, is the heart of our guest experience. A natural host, she is
devoted to making every stay truly memorable. Alongside her work as a professional filmmaker
and creator, she brings genuine warmth and care to each guest who visits.
