Enjoyed our stay!

The house and property were exactly as it was described. There was enough space for everyone. The house had everything you needed to enjoy a weekend away from home. The location was just a few minutes away from Windham. When we had questions or something that needed to be fixed in the house, everything was taken care of in a timely fashion. Thanks for opening up your home.

Great place for a group

We came with a large group and the house was perfect. Incredible fall foliage and views of the mountain. I wish it had been summer so we could have really enjoyed the beautiful lake - we'll have to go back! Kathy was very responsive. Highly recommend

Beautiful summertime getaway

Rented this lakehouse in the summer for 4 couples. As other reviews mentioned, home is large and comfortable, and kitchen is fully stocked. Most comments seem to be about the winter, but everything is beautiful in the summer as well. Lake is private and is good for swimming or boating. There are a few ponds that are pretty but didn't go into them. We hiked the trail on the property, used the indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit, watched the sunset from Sunset Spot, and hung out by the lake. Didn't feel the need to leave the property at all. There isn't any AC in the house, but using fans left us comfortable. There are bugs, which seems inevitable given the location and season. Area is fairly remote, but there's a small but well-stocked grocery store 2 miles away, with a couple of diners nearby as well. Would definitely go back for another stay!

Wonderful place

We rent this house for New Year and we really enjoyed .Windham from the deck is fantastic at night. We loved the fireplaces and the rustic décor. We loved this place.We would definately stay here again and highly recommend it!

Great Ski Weekend!

We rented the home for a ski weekend and had a great time (cousins and friends). The house is spacious and beautiful; the view of the Windham slopes from the deck is fantastic at night. The owner and property manager were a pleasure to work with (quick to respond, assist). We would definately stay here again and highly recommend it!

Fabulous Vacation Home for a family

Our family (cousins and family) rented the home for a ski trip but unfortunately no snow during our stay BUT that just gave the family more time for hiking, exploring the town, the Windham Spa, Winery, etc. Kathy's home is just perfect for large family's. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments as well as anything else you needed. Kitchen table and island in kitchen was perfect for meals. We loved the fireplaces and the rustic décor. Property manager was very nice and responded as soon as we needed something. The property is just beautiful; we collected golf balls around the lake and practiced our golf swing with all the kids. Location is also PERFECT, close to town and the slopes (when it snows!). Our family is already planning a trip back next year. Again, can't say enough nice things about the house.

it was the perfect place for a family get together, plenty of room for every one to have there own space but to be together. loved the fire place in the living room. took long walks on the property. fun times in the hot tub. the kitchen had everything we needed. close to the slope and town we would definately stay here again, highly recommend it

Wonderful Group Ski Trip Weekend

We're a group of 10 young professionals from NYC who have been taking ski trips together for the last 4 years, anywhere from Vermont down to NY, and everyone agreed that this was the best house we have ever stayed in. The location could not be beat. It's close enough to the slopes and the town of Windham that you could take multiple trips back and forth each day, if you wanted to. And you can see the slopes from the kitchen and the back porch, which is amazing. But it is also private enough, with lots of unspoiled landscape around, so that you feel like you're really getting away from it all. The house is very clean, which is important to us, but it also has a homey feel, you can tell a family has enjoyed it. The kitchen has every gadget you could need and great appliances, we cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day and all 10 adults and two toddlers fit around the large kitchen table. The house on the whole was very comfortable for a group our size. We had over 2 feet of snow the weekend we were there, and the driveway and paths to the house and hot tub were nicely shoveled for us when we arrived. The hot tub was having trouble getting warm the first night, but the property manager sent someone to fix it right away the next day and it was plenty hot after that. The only thing to note is that we had one couple sleeping in the finished basement. It was freezing down there, which is understandable in a basement. The adults were fine, but I wouldn't plan to put a bunch of little kids down there to have a slumber party. Home owner Kathy and property manager Leo were awesome. Very responsive and friendly. We are already talking about booking the house again next year!

Great time in Windham!

We rented the house for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The house has 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and 1 in the basement and plenty of space for our 2 families (and 5 children all together). The house was very clean and includes all the needed linens. It is very quiet and has a great view on the mountain. And the ski area of Windham is only 3 minutes away by car. We all enjoyed our stay!

Warrior Dash weekend at Glendalough!

This was our first visit to this house and it is the start of many returns! we've just gotten back from our 3 day stay and are already booking for next year! We had a total of 8 adults and 7 kids in our group and the house accommodated us all very comfortably. It seemed like it was going to be a "too good to be true" deal when booking through this site but, we were proven wrong as we entered the property. It sits very quietly up in the mountains with a few cute little ponds to greet you. Entering the home, the first thing you see is the view and it is BREATHTAKING! The deck was our favorite place to be. The grill, hot tub, seating, and large hills for the children to roll down were all we needed for fun (and a few beers of course!) The private Lake was so much more than we expected. We spent all day there on Friday and watched the kids paddle- boat, canoe, and swim. WE were fortunate enough to bring a couple 4-wheelers along and also enjoyed adventuring through the 40 acres of well marked trails. The kitchen came fully loaded and we enjoy cooking so that was huge for us too. We continually joked that "if you wish it, you'll find it here somewhere"! It is truly home away from home with it's comforts. Our only complaint (and it was short lived) was a septic smell at one point. WE quickly realized that with the amount of people we had showering, doing dishes, running laundry, that we had to take it easy on the septic and not run everything at once. Once we figured that out, we had no more issues with that. All in all... it was such an amazing vacation for everyone. The kids never once came to us with, "I'm bored!" Instead it was, "Why are we leaving today? I thought we were staying longer!" WE can't stop talking about the place and like I said before, we're already in the works for booking our next stay! Many memories to create at that place! One other thing that was great for me personally. I have twins and Kathy provided us with 2 pack-n-plays and a double stroller. That was great for us as we didn't have to pack those bulky items. Like I said, "if you wish it, you'll find it there somewhere!" Oh and the house was nice and clean and welcoming. Easy to find everything we needed (linens, ect...) Hope this review sends you to Glendalough too!
