This beautiful log cabin that is brand new construction. It has 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms situated on 10 wooded acres. Want to enjoy some simple family time? Come here and relax, make dinner and enjoy your close circle of family or friends. Front and back covered porches and a fire pit for bonfires . It has the feel of a simpler, safer more innocent time. Enter into this comfortable cabin and feel instantly at home. Fully equipped kitchen, granite counters tops, a island for families to gather. Comfy open concept living/ dining room with a cozy fireplace. 2 miles from Banning state park, 2.2 miles from Munger trail, 5 miles from Robinson park for rock climbing, kayak on the Kettle river, 30 minutes from Jay Cooke state park , 14 miles from Hinckley grand casino . Close to lakes for fishing.. The parking area is huge, plenty of room for trailers and multiple cars. Hunting in the area ? This is a great home base. Close enough to the twin cities for a quick trip , but far enough so you feel the solitude of the north. 3 night minimum stay. Dogs welcome, max 2. There is not a spa.

We love this home in Finlayson! We had some work in Duluth and stayed here! We could retire here. We wete looking for quiet country and thats what we got! The homenwas comfortable and there were a lot of extras in the home. Coffee, holiday decorations and the items needed for s'mores. Thanks for having us!

Everything was perfect! The most home away from home we have ever felt. So many unexpected surprises for our stay that made our experience so much more than we could have hoped for. From little labels on cupboards and drawers to make findings things much easier. To several extra pillows and blankets in case we wanted something cozier. To the family favorite "S'more basket" Thank you for all the memories we made over the weekend!!

The property worked excellent for us. The electric scooter used was able to get in and out of all the door frames very well. We used many of the included kitchen supplies because we stayed a month and cooked many. We did buy a shower chair and grab bars for easier handicapped accessibly in the walk in shower. Only suggestion we had would be screen doors on the patio doors for letting in the fresh outside air. We like the property so much we have booked a return visit next year

We loved the cabin, it was exactly as described on the website. The communication with the Lois was fast and easy. The Banning State Park and the Kettle River are just minutes away. We recommend it.

This cabin is simply spectacular. It's modern, yet rustic, spacious yet cozy. It has everything you could want or need. The next time we are in the area, I will definitely be staying here again.

Banning State Park Getaway

The cabin has a great layout, with a fantastic open kitchen for cooking and socializing. The owner made some thoughtful seasonal touches, to make the space inviting as well upon arrival. We were able to set up in the backyard on a clear night and take some astrophotography in addition to enjoying the large bon fire pit. It's also just up the road from the city of sandstone, and Banning State Park which has lots of great hiking trails, the Kettle River, and some waterfalls. Would definitely book again and for a longer stay next time!

Beautiful cabin, close to fun

It seems the cabin is fairly new with up-to-date appliances/bathrooms, comfy bed, lots of bunks if you have kids. Large screen TVs. Huge kitchen. Very well stocked for your stay, even a basket of S'Mores fixings!Everything is labeled so you don't have to search for what you need. Grounds are great, including firepit and gas grill. Close to Banning and Moose Lake State Park and Hinkley (Tobie's). The highway traffic is a bit loud, but you can't hear it in the cabin at all. Besides, we were out and about all day. We were very pleased with our stay! Hosts are great as well.

Beautiful Haven!

A beautiful, clean and well stocked cabin in a peaceful, wooded setting. We enjoyed our stay very much. Communication with Lois was great and we would recommend this rental to anyone!

Family Time

Weather was not the best coming in. I let owners know we were coming in early they welcomed us in a day early. My family loved the cabin. Next time we visit family we will stay here again!

So close to Banning State Park!

Huge yard for dogs to run & explore, gorgeous sunset views, minutes from Banning & 35. All new appliances nicer than our own! Plenty of firewood provided which was a plus for nightly bonfires. Comfy beds and clean.

Great cabin

My family of 4 stayed for 3 nights. The cabin is new, well designed, and well furnished. It was very comfortable and close to Banning State Park. Its also an easy day trip to Jay Cooke State Park and Duluth.

My family stayed here a week as we transition into our permanent residence. The home was beautiful but the accommodations and communication was over and above. Cozy and comfy feel, great place!

Hunting weekend

Everything was great! They provided everything we could possibly need and more. It was close to our hunting spot so it was an easy commute back and forth. Everything was clean was really nice. It was perfect for us, it would accommodate my family of 5 as well as mom and dad, something to think about for next time.

Perfect Fall Getaway

We had a wonderful time staying at the log cabin. It was clean and beautifully decorated for Fall. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Communication with the owner was responsive. We will definitely stay there again! Our favorite thing was that it was SO close to Banning State Park, which was absolutely gorgeous this past weekend!

PERFECT CABIN AND GREAT HOST!!!

First off Lois was great from the very start of the booking as we were coming in town for a wedding and they were very accommodating!! Cabin was beautiful and well taken care of. We absolutely loved the little extras that the host did such as the s’mores basket. We liked the cabin so much we may be planning another trip just to come back!! Thank You Lois we had a great stay and we appreciate the hospitality!!
