Gem of a property on PKs best kept secret, Caddo bay and creek! This is a well maintained cottage with farmhouse charm. Beautiful view, very quiet, great for walks and bird watching, kayaking, fishing, star gazing. Tucked around the corner from Caddo Bay for tubing, ski, surf, but you don't get the boat noise. Sleeps 4 to 6 comfortably great for couples or family-King master, Queen guest room, bonus 3rd bedroom with 5 bunks and futon. Large yard, stone patio with fire pit, large dock for fishing, green light under dock for fishing, can tie boat to side of dock. Weber propane grill. Family friendly area so please book with that in mind. Can use boat launch at state park, Breakers Marina 15 min boat ride from dock, Hells Gate 25 min boat ride. If familiar with boating and PK channel markers easy to navigate back at night.
We now have Starlink high speed internet, clear WiFi calling, login to your favorite streaming service with Apple TV box! Watch some football with the fireplace on!

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Make sure both dock gates are closed, both ladder are in “up” position and all chairs are tied and secure, and lights turned off. Clean grill if used and no hot embers in fire pits if used.
Take out all trash and cover lid with heavy rock to avoid animals getting into it.
Start dishwasher cycle early enough to finish before leaving since water pump to the house has to be turned off before you leave. Bring in all outside cushions. Turn AC to economy mode. Close blinds.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Do not drive on lawn. Mind burn bans if in effect. No jumping off of upper level of dock, absolutely no use of the boat lifts or slips.

Had a very nice stay, saw lots of game and fish from the dock. Minor electrical issue but the owner was outstanding to work with and the situation was taken care of immediately. Will definitely be staying here again

Perfect lake getaway

The house was clean and the beds very comfy. We spent most of our time at the dock fishing and swimming, and the house was close enough to the water for trips back and forth. Great spot on the lake for tubing at the mouth of the bay and easy boat ride from the launch at the state park. The State park let us launch for free. Host was very communicative and available. Check in/out instructions were clear. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Lake home!

Although it was windy most the weekend, sitting out on the dock was still a very relaxing time! Fishing was good as well. Property was well maintained and clean. Would recommend to others or stay again!

Friends and family lake trip

Cute lake property with lots of yard for outdoor play with the kids, great boat dock we had no problem docking two boats and a jet ski to the sides, we had a great end of summer get away and hope to come back again the lake was beautiful.

Everything was great with the place and dock. The road in is a little sketchy pulling a bigger boat. Will need 4x4 to make it up the rock road hills with boat in tow.

Best Lake Vacation

The house and property were as pictured. Everything was clean and tidy. It was so easy to feel at home. Our most common hang out was the dock. The kids fished for hours multiple times a day. The view is beautiful and it was a relaxing weekend. We plan to stay here again!

The location was perfect. Very secluded and a great host. The drive in had me a little sketched at first but not bad after one run. I pulled a 25’ boat down there but wouldn’t bring one much bigger. It is pretty far from any store by car so make sure you bring all your groceries in. It was very close to a couple restaurants by boat. The boat house sits in a “no-wake” zone which is in a pretty protected cove. He had plenty of chairs and the upper deck was very nice. Will definitely stay here again. 5 stars all day long.

This was definitely a peaceful place! Everything and more of what I expected. They have 2 bird houses and we saw so many different kinds. We loved that part and the deer with her baby was definitely a pretty sight to see! The neighborhood is nice and the neighbors are so friendly 😊

Perfect Getaway

I took my family and friends here for Spring Break. It's a beautiful piece of property with a really nice dock that has a deck. It's secluded, so we had exactly what we wanted. Be sure to pack everything because the closest place to get groceries, etc is a long drive. Bring live minnows and worms for fishing off the dock. Fishing Caddo is one of the best spots on PK. We brought our boat and was able to tie up to the dock for our stay. You can launch at PK State Park and boat around. Communication with the host was above board. They answered any questions right away and gave several pointers to make the trip memorable. The kids, family, and friends had a blast! If you're looking for a well maintained lake house that is secluded and quiet with water access, this is the place to be. We can't wait to get back out there.

Brilliant lake getaway

We rented this house for memorial weekend for our family and another family. (4 adults and 3 teenagers). We brought our two wave runners as well. The house was perfect. The house is on the lake with a dock for us to tie skis to and to swim from. It’sClose to state park for launching. The house is rather secluded which the owner informed us ahead of time to come self contained as trips to the closest stores were quite a drive. The owner of the house was amazing with communication…i mean above and beyond anything I have experienced with any vrbo. If you like quiet lake getaways with excellent accommodations and customer service the. This is the place for you. I would definitely go back.

Horrible experience

We had no running water the last day. Could not shower or use the restroom. The owner was having me try and repair it instead of calling a professional to come and turn it back on. A storm came through one day and a chair blew away so the property manager wanted me to find it. There were no rules to tie the chairs back up every night, only when our stay was complete. Would never stay here again.

Remote, relaxing, lakefront getaway!

Excellent property and a great overall experience. This place is very remote and quiet! Lake frontage on Carson bay which is very quiet and basically zero boat traffic. We caught plenty of fish off the dock but had 5 boats that we were able to tie up easily! The only drawback is the nearest public boat ramp is at Possum Kingdom State park which is about a 20 minute car ride away but we were able to talk a neighbor into letting us utilize their price ramp(offered to pay but they wouldn’t accept). Super friendly neighbors! Buy your groceries on your way bc the closest substantial store is either Gordon tx or Stephenville to the south. Overall great experience, plenty of amenities and a comfortable set of beds! We fished most of the time but the dock and house are very nice. There’s are rocks around the dock so unless the lake is full, I’d be careful of jumping off the top deck. Only difficulty was finding the key for check in due to slightly vague instructions, but after some searching we found The key! Would definitely stay here again!

What makes this property unique

Large Wahoo boat dock, best fishing area at PK. Very private and quiet area, but you can be near Caddo bay which is excellent for boating, tubing, surfing. Also a perfect area for kayaking, paddle boarding. Large expansive yard, amazing views, dark at night so you can see the Milky Way. This area of the lake makes it feel like you are on a vacation a 1000 miles away.
