The host was very accommodating to our request for an extra day extension and worked with us to make that possible. The property was very well suited for our needs and conveniently located. I highly recommend this location and host and will stay here again should the need arise.

Went for a family wedding. The location was close to the wedding and other sites. The bedroom/bed combo worked perfectly for our group.

Great Mountain Stay

This was a great rental for our family. The inside was very clean, and we all loved the jacuzzi in the backyard.

Long weekend

We had a great stay at your beautiful home! It was very clean and accommodating for our large group and a great location just about 10 minutes from downtown Ashville. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for having us!

Convenient to hiking, downtown Asheville and breweries

We spent Thanksgiving here and were able to cut our turkey dinner here. We did some hiking while here and found our location convenient. Host was easy to communicate with and was flexible and worked with us on our early check-in request.

Great house

Great house in a good location. Everything worked well. Kitchen could use some more stocking, for example, no oven mitts / pot holder to take things out of the oven.

We stayed July 2–9. The house is spacious but needs updating, and sits on the edge of a rougher area, though we felt safe. The owner kindly let us check in an hour early.The property differs from the photos in some ways. The yard was unmowed and overgrown. The fridge ice maker was completely broken; the owner said it couldn't be fixed due to the 4th holiday and suggested we use a countertop machine or buy bags of ice.Inside, the living room couch and loveseat were stained, broken down, and very uncomfortable. The rug and floors were dirty—my sons' white socks turned black. In the kitchen, the pots/pans were old & scratched, silverware was incomplete, and the ceiling above the stove was smoke-discolored. Plusses—a grill, dishwasher, pods, and trash bags were provided.The bedrooms were nicely decorated with updated flooring (though unfinished at the doorways), and some lamps lacked bulbs. In both bathrooms, the overhead lights blinked or shut off completely, so had to rely on the vanity lights which are very old. Floors and baseboards were dirty. Downstairs had a great washer/dryer and a fun game room. We skipped the hot tub due to the state of the inside of the home.Generally, the air vents were dirty, at least some of the smoke detectors were over 10 years old, and roosters crow next door. I don’t take sharing this review lightly. I chose this house based on a 9.8 rating, but those reviews were old. I wish someone had outlined these current issues.

Host is very responsive

Host responds quickly to messages! Easy check in. Upon entering home smelled like cigarette smoke, but host said home is a nonsmoking home. Thankfully we got used to the smell quickly. The cleaner missed a few things from last guest - chairs on back porch area all over the place, a half used bag of charcoal left out, grill tools left out, food left in oven, and back door very dirty. Inside the home was clean. The kitchen was basic and lacking a few things we needed. The hot tub is a nice touch, but not very private with back neighbor. The first time we tried to use the hot tub, the neighbors came out and started their yard work; their edging caused grass to fly into and threw the fence where the hot tub is. The shower curtain needs to be replaced in the main bathroom. The Wifi was spotty two of the three nights and we weren't able to use the TV those nights. The rooster next door was our alarm clock one of the mornings. The neighborhood one way was nice, the other way we avoided. We didn't let the kids play in the front yard and kept the blinds down due to this. We had no issues, and the small backyard was still enough for the kids to play. For the pros - there are plenty of towels and comfortable blankets at the house. The beds are comfortable. The kids loved the game room. The decor is cute. We liked the bed configuration for our family. Loved that we didn't have too many "chores" upon leaving. The home would be great with a few nicer updates/upgrades!
