Somebody once said: "Leave the road, take the trails." Not sure who said it, but we bet their inspiration was the Wilderness Cabin. Here on the mountaintop, wilderness abounds: flora and fauna, beast and bird. This is why keen adventurers choose the Wilderness cabin as their home base. Whether it be big buck, turkey, coon, skunk, squirrel, bear, bobcat, small and large mouth, red cockaded woodpecker, North American Yeti, or even the mythic black panther, this cabin was born wild and lives wild, and you will too. The Wilderness sleeps 9, but only because adventurers, like all God's creatures, need to rest on occasion. With a fully stocked open kitchen with dishwasher, oven, stove, refrigerator and microwave, and dining room table, your tribe can all contribute to meal prep. The downstairs living quarters comes complete with a gas fireplace, satellite television, pull out sleeper sofa as well as two bedrooms and one full bath. Lofted upstairs are a queen-sized bed and twin, washer and dryer and full bath. Wilderness watch from the back or front porch, cookout on the charcoal grill and dine outdoors on your very own picnic table. Enjoy Mena Mountaintop Vista Picnic Area and Firepit, Free Wi-fi, Cell Service, Ride-in access to Wolf Pen Gap Trails. If Nature is calling you, the Wilderness is waiting. (Mena Mountaintop Cabins... We had a wonderful time at this cozy and pleasant cabin with friends and family. It comfortably accommodates a group of 10-12 people and was clean and well-maintained. A few suggestions for improvement: the outdoor furniture could use some attention, as a few chairs were slightly broken. The campfire area is uneven, and additional seating around the fire would be a great addition. An outdoor table near the campfire would also enhance the experience. Overall, a lovely stay!
