Casa frente al mar en el sur de Bristol, con muelle privado y porches

Un encantador y aireado encantador en el "Gut" en el sur de Bristol. A minutos de la comunidad de verano de Christmas Cove.

La casa Sumner McFarland es de tres pisos y cuenta con porches en dos pisos. La gran cocina comedor tiene múltiples vistas panorámicas del puerto. Hay 3 dormitorios en el segundo piso y un dormitorio más grande en el tercer piso. Hay baños en cada piso. Hay camino privado y estacionamiento al lado de la casa. El verdadero frente de la casa se enfrenta al agua y se inclina suavemente hacia un gran muelle con mesa de picnic, una rampa y flotador para amarrar su bote o lanzar sus kayaks y tablas de remo.

En el segundo piso hay una habitación con un par de camas gemelas y dos habitaciones con camas de tamaño completo. También hay una pequeña terraza para sentarse y disfrutar de su café de la mañana o su libro de la tarde y vino. En el tercer piso hay un dormitorio en suite con una cama queen size, cocina, baño de 3/4 y rincón para ver el agua.

El salón es luminoso con vistas al agua. También hay un segundo espacio para ver la televisión (o el agua si lo prefiere). El porche cubierto es el lugar perfecto para escapar y relajarse y disfrutar del aire salado.

Las langostas vivas o cocidas están a poca distancia en el Fishermen's Coop. También puede caminar hasta Osier's para pescar en el bote o para un almuerzo rápido.

El lanzamiento público del bote está cerca y tiene la opción de usar el Astillero de aterrizaje Bittersweet o el Astillero Gamage para sus necesidades de navegación.

Los alquileres de kayak y tablas de paddle están disponibles y pueden ser entregados por Mitch en Midcoast Kayak.

Observe los botes, las gaviotas, las focas, la niebla de la mañana saliendo del agua. Paddle o motor a las islas y al océano.

The house was charming. Kitchen had everything one could possibly need. We spent a lot of time at the kitchen table admiring the view of the harbor. We especially enjoyed the artwork in the home. The stairs were steep so the handrail was important. I loved the third floor bedroom and spent a few rainy hours in the chair by the bay window. The third floor bath is only for short people- so fine for me. Location was good. Beware that in October restaurants can be closed for the season. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights and would book again if returning to the area.

This summer my husband and I spent almost 5 weeks at this South Bristol cottage. We love the house and invite family and friends to join us in enjoying our Maine time. The dock allows us to dock our boat, and then in minutes be on the water enjoying the wildlife and fishing. My favorite places in the home include the kitchen table where I enjoy having my morning coffee and watching the lobster boats head out for their daily catch. The upper deck is also amazing; a place to sit and read in the afternoon, and enjoy a cocktail in the early evening. The hostess is so easy to deal with. I simply need to send her a text, and she quickly replies. There are plenty of bedrooms for friends and family to visit us and they all can't wait to get back for some Maine time. This is our "happy place."

The views were incredible, watching boats of all shapes and sizes go by. Plenty of room for alone time and full on friends. Shopping very close by. We had a great visit, highly recommend.

The house is lovely! Spacious and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Natalie was very helpful, responsive and accomodating.I have to say, if it was a hotel, I'd probably give the property itself 3 stars - bathrooms have obvious water damage on the floor, the house itself is worn. It didn't take away from the cozy feel and if it's someone's house and they don't mind those things, then so be it! If it was a hotel, I'd expect management to take care of those issues and keep the property in good shape. But the house is really cute, it's in a great location, and the owner is very nice!!

Excellent views!

The house exactly as described! Comfortable and cozy! When driving up at night, it’s the first driveway past the “hidden driveway” sign! It was so dark we passed it twice! House is set off of street!The views can’t be beat! The porch was favorite place to congregate! It’s about a 45 minute drive to Boothbay. There is shopping in Boothbay, the botanical gardens, the prettiest village in Maine, Wiscasset!Did not eat out too much so do not have many recommendations. The lobster/seafood store down the street had steamed lobster! We saw seals in the little harbor! That was fun just sitting on porch!I’d stay again!

This is a beautiful, well taken care of home! The views from the kitchen, dining, bedrooms, multiple porches and the dock were awesome. The decor in the home is charming! The owner has everything there that you could possibly need…kitchen items, plenty of seating, games, puzzles, books, extra blankets, etc. It’s a beautiful area to take walks as well. There are places close by to grab coffee, sandwiches, lobsters, oysters, clam chowder, etc. The owner of the home is very nice and responds immediately to any questions or problems you may have. We had such a nice, relaxing time and would come back again. Thanks for sharing your home!

Our second year for our cousins reunion

Very clean! Has everything you could possibly need for cooking. The kitchen is definitely the place to gather. The only inconvenience I found was having to take the trash to the transfer station which is not open on a Sunday, (our check out day) I had to bring it home with me, fortunately I live n the area!

Great stay in South Bristol!

We stayed at the property for two nights for a family getaway after the holidays. The house was in a great location, beautiful views, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. We loved waking up to the light hitting the water and being able to explore the beautiful peninsula. Great hikes a short drive away. We would gladly stay again!

Our Perfect Retreat for Over 3 Years

For over 40 years, our group of women—friends who worked together and have stayed close ever since—has made it a tradition to reconnect and spend quality time together. Three years ago, we discovered this house, and it has quickly become our go-to spot. Every visit feels like coming home. The house is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for a group like ours. We especially love the fabulous kitchen and eating area and all the wonderful views. Living areas are full of art and tastefully decorated. The location is ideal, allowing us to enjoy being together and taking walks in the beautiful area, Close beaches and a lighthouse are a plus too. Each year, the host goes above and beyond to ensure everything is just right, and her attention to detail makes us feel so welcome. This place has become more than just a vacation rental—it’s a part of our tradition and memories. We can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking to create lasting memories with friends or family. We’re already counting down to our next visit!

"Peace of Heaven"

This house was beautiful! High up on a hill looking over looking lobster boats! A million dollar view! The house had everything you need, beautifully decorated, very comfortable furniture and beds. It was fun going to Booth Bay Harbor. What a nice stay! Perfect get away!

Natalie's home and property was beautiful. Everything was clean and neat. We loved having our morning coffee on the back porch with a stunning vorw. It was very easy to communicate with Natalie. We would definitely dtay there again.

We lived quite close to this house when my kids were small and we were looking for a second home in the area where we could enjoy the water and the summer community of South Bristol and Christmas Cove.

The house is perfect for relaxing and spending time with family. There is plenty of space inside and out. From the windows, the porches, to the dock, you are never far from some way to enjoy the water, the boats, and the beauty of Maine. We are walking distance to the lobster Co-op where you can get fresh-caught lobster live or cooked.
