About the host
Hosted by Hélène DELOUVRIER
We opened L’Ostal Cassinia in 2017 with the desire to bring new life to our family home and share it with guests from around the world.
After 45 years living abroad, international hospitality has always been part of our lives. I am fluent in French, Spanish, English and Portuguese, which allows us to welcome guests from different cultures with ease and understanding.
My background includes formal training at a hotel management school in France, as well as further education at Cornell University (USA). This experience shapes the way we host: with professionalism, attention to detail and genuine care.
Hospitality, authenticity and connection to our region are at the heart of what we do. We personally welcome our guests and are always happy to share our favorite places in the Comminges — while fully respecting your privacy.
We look forward to welcoming you.

Why they chose this property
The house has been in our family for over 100 years, and its story is deeply connected to the village of Cassagne. Originally, around the mid-19th century, it served as a coaching inn — a stopover for travelers and horses crossing the region. Hosting has always been part of its identity.
We love the peaceful atmosphere of the village and the surrounding landscape of rolling hills at the foothills of the French Pyrenees. Life here moves at a gentler pace.
The Comminges region offers a wonderful balance between nature, heritage and gastronomy. From the house, you can walk directly into the countryside, explore charming villages, local markets and enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery.
What we appreciate most is the authenticity — it is a place where traditions remain alive, where neighbors greet each other, and where guests can truly disconnect while still being within easy reach of Toulouse.

What makes this property unique
What makes L’Ostal Cassinia truly unique is the combination of history, space and privacy.
Originally a 19th-century coaching inn and part of our family for over a century, the house retains its authentic character while offering 300 m² of refined and comfortable living space.
Few properties combine such generous volumes, a fully private swimming pool, a large enclosed garden and five distinct sleeping areas for up to 12 guests — all in the peaceful setting of a traditional French village at the foothills of the Pyrenees.
Another distinctive element is our approach to hospitality. With a background in hotel management and international experience, we combine professional standards with the warmth of a family home.
We also personally assist our guests in organizing their stay, whether it is recommending local experiences, arranging a private chef, wine tasting, or helping plan activities in the region.
Guests often tell us they feel both “at home” and “somewhere special” — and that balance is what truly sets the property apart.
