When you arrive at Hays Beach House and step onto the screened porch, the hot tub is just about ready, promising relaxation with its inviting bubbles. Settling into the warm, swirling waters, the view will unfold — a serene panorama of the bay's gentle ripples under the sunset sky. The tranquil atmosphere, accompanied by the distant calls of seabirds, instantly melts away the day's travel stress, setting the tone for a much-anticipated vacation.

You'll feel like you're in your own world with the Chesapeake breeze as soon as you arrive at Hays Beach House. It's your very own beach front cottage where you can enjoy:

You'll have water views of the wide open Chesapeake Bay in the distance from both floors of this beautiful beach house! The gourmet kitchen will provide your group's designated chef with the tools they need to make your getaway a culinary dream. The top floor has its very own balcony for you to gaze off into the wide open Chesapeake Bay. You’ll feel like you’re on a cruise ship from up there ;-)

Pet Fees: Please message us if you would like to bring your dog and we can discuss. We are pet friendly ONLY to respectful dog owners that have well behaved and trained dogs. We have plenty of added amenities for your furry friends! There will be an additional cleaning fee of $200 per stay added to all reservations that include dogs. Dogs may not be left unattended inside unless they're contained in a crate. We have a limit of two dogs per stay.

Swimming in the Bay is done so at your own risk.

Beautiful and welcoming home that was easy to access. The views from the home are breathtaking! We enjoyed hanging out on the screened in porch and walking along the beach line. Everything in the house was well thought out ...the kitchen accommodated us nicely and everything was easily accessible ...the house was clean the towels were in abundance and very luxurious ...we were in the area for a family wedding and the location was perfect for us going back and forthwould highly recommend staying there ...oh - and the view especially sunrise - was spectacular

You can't get closer to the bay! We enjoyed watching the water and sunrises from the living areas. It was a little too cold to be on the water, but we enjoyed a walk on the beach, bike rides, and exploring nearby towns. It was peaceful and relaxing and the house is as described in the listing.

Perfect for State Swim Championships

Amazing stay at Hays Beach

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hays Beach. Tim was responsive and incredibly helpful as we were planning our visit. The house is beautifully appointed - from the furnishings to the outdoor equipment. We were also impressed with all the included basic details that made our stay so much more comfortable. Great Property

This home sits right on the water! It is beautiful! We watched ships roll by, ducks bobbing on the water, and flocks of geese flying and landing on the water. The view from both lower and upper decks are amazing! We spent lots of time on the decks even though it was cold - we just covered ourselves with blankets. The hosts are wonderful people, always kind and patient, and gave great recommendations on shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. They were very communicative and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this amazing beach home!

Endless Summer Slacking

This is our 16th year vacationing at Hay Beach, but our first time staying at this property. The house is very confrontable and the layout is great, plenty of room for our family, 3 couples. The second level deck was the hangout, beautiful views of the sun rises with morning coffee, watching large pods of dolphins swimming 30 yards off the beach, eagles flying overhead and cocktails every evening. The guys fished from kayaks while the girls laid in the sun on the deck every day ... great vacation ... we'll defiantly stay here again.

Family Vacation on the Bay

We booked this bayside property for a short family vacation and the house and amenities were exactly what we needed during our time at Hays Beach. There were ample bedrooms and spaces for all of us to relax, the kitchen was well appointed. The beach in front of the house was perfect for our grandson to play in a small pool while the others lounged in chairs or were in the water directly in front of the house. The public beach was a short walk away and we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife on the beach. Unfortunately, a storm surge had destroyed the steps down to the water directly in front of the house, but the owner had obtain an easement from the neighbor to use their steps which was incredibly helpful to getting our toddler down to the water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely consider returning in the future.

We live and work in the DC area and discovered this neck of the woods back in 2020 and instantly fell in love. Now we get to share that with guests and it's like discovering it for the first time over and over again!
