The place was beautiful and private. The views from inside of the house and the deck were amazing. Having the beachfront access and a yard was great for the little kids. The dining area was large enough to accommodate family meals for all 10 of us. The hostess was wonderful to work with and was very responsive to our needs.
A beautiful quiet location with a view of the Bay and wildlife and wonderful porch for guests. Spacious and different cozy areas for visiting with esch other. Clean and cool for hot days. The Best!
We had a great stay. The house is just as described. Location is great for crabbing and fishing!

Thank you for your kind review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and that the home and location were a good fit for your crabbing and fishing adventures.
Though it was a rainy Memorial Day weekend, we (our family) found much comfort and joy gathering in the spacious living area, looking out over the vast expanse of the Bay, watching the osprey & sea gulls soaring, and enjoying the company of one another. The home was beautifully decorated and appointed but comfortable and welcoming at the same time. We loved it and will return.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for continuing to choose our home for your getaways, Maripat. We're thrilled to hear that you had another wonderful stay and that the setting continues to provide a special space for time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
Perfection! We celebrated my daughter’s graduation from St Mary’s college and the accommodations were perfect for our large family . We have five kids in their early 20’s and my parents were able to join us as well. We loved having two separate living spaces. The young adults stayed downstairs and the older group stayed upstairs. The house was well stocked and I loved the fact that I didn’t have to strip all the beds before leaving. We hope to come back again!

We had another wonderful stay at this house and couldn’t be happier. Our family and friends have been renting this property for many years, and it continues to be one of our favorite places to spend time together. The home is cozy, beautifully maintained, and the recent furnishing upgrades make it even more comfortable and inviting. The beach location is fantastic - peaceful, scenic, and just steps away from the water.Robyne is an outstanding host, very responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to communicate with before and during our stay.We truly love this house and look forward to coming back again and again.
The new owner has improved the property. Especially the front deck sliding doors and improved furniture and overall updates... It is nice they have some kayaks and games, and blow ups under the house. The trash set up is much better too. No more pesky critters. We were able to cook for and seat 13 persons for meals inside... Having a tv in almost every room was a nice feature... the wifi worked great. There are now 2 Osprey nests nearby...
The location of this property is amazing. You will not find a better location. Amazing views of sunrise right on the water. The house is decorated beautifully with enough space to be together and find alone time. There are plenty of outdoor toys the most fun being the paddle board and kayaks. Robyn and the property manager were very responsive and took good care of our group. Thank you
We had a wonderful family trip. Robyne & team provided quick and helpful responses to our questions. The space and location were perfect for our family. The home had ample space for our large family to hang out and relax during the evenings. And there were activities for everyone. Some went fishing, while others went swimming, kayaking, stone searching, building sand mounds etc. But the highlight was probably chasing crabs and scooping them up. This was our first time crabbing so everyone had so much fun!
What an absolutely perfect location for our family vacation. I have four children and three grandchildren, and the kids had an absolute blast. This property has a private beach in the backyard. There are turtles, a huge osprey nest, frogs at night and deer on the front lawn occasionally. We went oyster shell picking, swimming (there are jellyfish, but my grandson kept going back in the water anyway). We went tubing and kayaking and crabbing. We built a fire and had s’mores and flew a kite. Nearby is Courtney seafood which is absolutely magnificent. Not fancy, but the largest blue crabs that were caught just that morning and huge snow crabs with an owner who was adorable. As far as amenities, you couldn’t ask for more. There are both hard and soft pillows, washer and dryer on both floors with soap provided, shampoo and conditioner, and body soap in the showers, garbage liners, pots pans, a waffle iron a microwave and a stand mixer. There’s both a kitchen table and a large dining room table, which overlooks the water. There’s a back deck and the front porch, both upper and lower. There’s even an outdoor shower which we used to rinse off after our beach runs. There are beach towels, beach, chairs, and loungers, and many many chairs inside the home. The abundance of bathrooms was so appreciated with the fact that we had 11 people with us, and the couches were large uncomfortable, both upstairs and downstairs. Robyne was extremely responsive.
We enjoyed our stay at the Marram shorehouse! Appreciated the small beach in front of the house (best at low tide), and were able to walk (further out than the high tide line on the sand) past adjacent houses to get to the huge community beach close by. We enjoyed the access to kayaks for kids and adults (and lifejackets), the fire pit, yard games, beach toys, and the house which was very clean. Waking up right next to the bay is amazing - beautiful sunrises right out the window/on the deck. Pretty hard to beat this waterfront location! The kids complained about jelly fish in the water, but that was truly the only downside (they were small, just had to look out for them when swimming). Robyne was a great host - communication was excellent and everything was clear. We also enjoyed the SALT Waterfront kitchen restaurant on the way back home -- delicious seafood and great view.
After more than 24 years of military service, we’ve made our home in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. While we love the energy and opportunities of the area, we’ve always dreamed of having a quiet, peaceful retreat by the water—a place to unwind, reflect, and reconnect.
This home on the Chesapeake Bay is that dream come true. It gives us the chance to step away from the daily hustle and immerse ourselves in the natural beauty and calm of the coast. We love sharing this space with others who are looking for the same kind of escape—whether it's for a weekend recharge or a longer stay.
Hosting gives us joy because we know firsthand how important it is to find a place where you can truly relax.
Why they chose this property
This hidden gem is nestled in a peaceful, remote corner of Southern Maryland, where the Chesapeake Bay stretches wide just steps from your door. With private access to a quiet beach, it’s the kind of place where you can sip your coffee with the sound of gentle waves and end the day with stunning sunsets and stargazing—free from city lights and distractions.
We love the secluded feel of the property—it’s the perfect place to unplug, reconnect with nature, and truly relax. Whether you’re wading in the bay, reading on the porch, or enjoying the evening around the firepit under the stars, there’s a sense of calm here that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Despite the privacy, the location is surprisingly convenient. We’re just a short drive from NAS Patuxent River, and not far from local shops, restaurants, and historic sites in nearby towns like Lexington Park and Leonardtown. You get the best of both worlds: tranquil seclusion with easy access to modern amenities.
This special balance is one of the things we love most.
