The Good: Beautiful ocean view and short walk to the beach. The host was initially compassionate regarding a pet death, refunding the pet deposit shortly after booking.The Bad:Safety Hazards: The kitchen table had sharp, splintered wood that nearly scratched my daughter. Outdoor lounge chairs had sharp metal exposed. The home’s exterior had missing shingles, exposed wiring, and visible house wrap.Maintenance & Noise: Both queen beds lacked support, sagging into a V-shape. The washing machine shook the entire house so violently we thought something had fallen off the wall. Constant, loud wind whistling through poorly sealed patio doors made sleep difficult.Cleanliness: Dirty upon arrival. Floors were covered in black dog hair and the main bathtub was filled with human hair.Poor Layout & Basics: A dresser in one bedroom was too large to allow the door to open fully. Some patio/interior lights were broken. No TVs in bedrooms and a lack of standard goods.Logistics: The check-in required a "selfie with my ID," which felt odd, intrusive, and primed for identity theft. They charge an unreasonable hourly fee for early check-in. Only one key was provided despite multiple confusing lockboxes. The one containing the actual key felt hidden without warning. After the initial booking, subsequent communications appeared to be ignored for days.Verdict: The location is great, but the lack of maintenance, safety issues, and ghosting made this a frustrating, poor-value stay.
