Time to teach those little ones how to ski! Or maybe you'd rather go snow tubing, or ice skating, or snow shoeing! All kinds of family fun is available right here in North Carolina at Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain ski resorts!
Our house has all the amenities an extended family needs: games, multiple entertainment systems, foosball, fully stocked kitchen, high speed wifi, fireplace, and beautiful scenery.
You'll see deer for sure, and if you're lucky, you'll see bears, skunks, birds, and other animals.
And don't forget your fur babies are welcome here too!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very large and spacious and clean and completely stocked with everything you would need. We also enjoyed seeing deer come every morning and every afternoon.

Great hosts, always prompt with responses. This is our 5th stay at this cabin, but first time with the new hosts. They made wonderful upgrades with the game room, added a heater, and new hot tub. We arrived with the hottub guy cleaning it and making sure everything was great at our cabin rental. The grandkids love this place, the game room and the woods to play in too. Only 8/10s of mile to Beech Mtn Ski parking. Perfect for the 10 of us! We will be back!

Great Getaway!

Enjoyed staying at this property with family and friends. The kitchen supplies were very well stocked, good TVs, plenty of extra towels, and lots of room. We had a wonderful time and would rebook!

Family Time

A great house to spend time with family. Plenty of things to do and enough bedrooms for everyone to sleep. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. We Loved seeing all the wildlife, including the deer and the bear.

Beautiful home for a cozy, family vacation!!

We stayed at this gorgeous home on Beech Mountain and had an amazing time! Our dogs loved the daily hikes, we loved the coziness of the cabin and our son REALLY loved the video games downstairs! The owner was sweet, extremely helpful and it’s nice staying in a home that you can tell has been well loved. Fantastic home and we’re so glad we found this place for our vacation!!

Family Vacation

Our Christmas family vacation was Awesome. The cabin is perfect for all ages and everyone had enough space to chill. It snowed which was an added bonus. Also the deer were amazing. We loved feeding them. Great location.

This was a very nice place. It had a lot of things to do for a large family. It was just two of us so we didn’t use a lot of the amenities.

Beautiful, spacious, and comfy

We enjoyed our time at this cabin. The home was clean, spacious, and comfy. We got to see many deer around the property. My kids enjoyed playing in the play area downstairs. Definitely recommend.

Spontaneous family getaway

Enjoyed our last minute, long Fourth of July weekend! Brought our four kids dog. House was spacious and in a beautiful community. I felt safe walking alone and letting kids play outside while I enjoyed my coffee! Lots of trails and exploring in the community.Location was just an hour from tweetsie railroad and Buckeye Lake was perfect for a short waterfall hike with four young kids.Elaine was easy to communicate with and shared tons of recommendations for nearby grocery, hikes, and firework! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here at Beech Mountain.

Great ski vacation

Charming cabin feel with several amenities such as games and arcade machine. Close to Beech Mountain ski resort. Enjoyed the setting and seeing lots of deer. Four wheel drive recommended in winter as roads in neighborhood can be snow covered. Very well suited for our dogs. Would definitely choose it again.

Family ski trip

We usually stay at a different VRBO down the road but it was booked. This was the first here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner is very responsive with any emails I sent. The teens enjoyed the game room and I enjoyed watching all the deer.

Fun weekend trip!

This home is perfect for a group of 7 and a dog or more (that's all we had). The kids had a blast picking out where they were each sleeping. Between the beauty of nature and the arcade in the lowest level, this house was exactly what we needed. There was plenty of entertainment and room for all. We hope to come back to this beautiful home again. We really appreciated the perfect spot to relax and stay cool!

80's weekend at Beech Mountain!

Really enjoyed our traditional 80's weekend trip to Beech Mountain to visit with friends and listen to the band Cassette Rewind. Some of our Children came up from Clemson and got to enjoy the weekend with us. The house was awesome. Very accommodating. We stayed at the same house five years ago. We will keep it on our list for future trips to Beech. Thank you!

We love western North Carolina. Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, what's not to love? The best thing about Beech Mountain is not just its proximity to so many fun activities, but the fact that there is dining, shopping, and entertainment on the top of the mountain itself!

Our cabin is nestled in the woods for lovely privacy as the trees leaf out. But a cute downtown area with shopping, a museum, and restaurants is just a 10 minutes drive away. The neighbors are a mix of permanent residents and vacationers. It's beautifully quiet, yet has all the perks of a small town: police, fire station, restaurants, parks, even a lovely recreation center at a lake.

This home is beautiful and clean, yet it's also pet friendly! The house has two great living areas so perfect for large families or vacation with multiple families. Interested in visiting the Land of Oz (September 6 -8, 20-22), Oktoberfest (Oct 12-13), or the Wooly Worm Festival (Oct 19-20)? Come stay at our house to enjoy them all!
