Cassis is an unspoiled and colorful, though luxurious, old fishing port with all the amenities: the main beach, shopping, and delicious restaurants adjacent to it, all flow from one to the other. Many cafes face the port with no traffic permitted to block your view, an unusual advantage, while you order a café crème and pain au chocolat or croissant – a glass of wine or beer with a beautiful salad - mussels & frites, a croque monsieur, crepes or whatever your heart desires from friendly locals happy to see you. Maybe you will decide on a pastry instead from the famous patisserie at the port or perhaps you will buy something from the fishermen, that day’s catch, to take home instead. Of course, with a fresh baguette!
Tour boats regularly leave the harbor for sightseeing in the world famous Calanques. Sailboats, paddle boats, and kayaks are available for rent during the summer
months. The promenade by the sea is a delightful way to view the town from another perspective or to visit the Visitors Center. A Casino is nearby in the
Behind the port in the rest of this carefully preserved village, cobblestoned streets meander past charming squares, parks with fountains, shops with everything you need and wonderful things with which you will fall in love even though you may not need them. A colorful market fills the main square and some streets twice a week. Delicious and delightful restaurants of all kinds are available on every street within the village, as well as close-by near other beaches and the sea.
This bright, spacious, and recently renovated 3 bedroom apartment (with large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen) is located closest to the Port, main Beach, Restaurants, and Shops of most VRBO listings for Cassis! It is a short 5 minute walk downhill, and perhaps a 10 minute walk to return, not a long walk or drive up a steep hill, as are so many of the rental properties. But if you want to use a car, you will also have your own designated parking space – and visitors’ spaces as well.
The complex is tucked away in a quiet spot, with a gated entry, but with grocery, presse, and some other shops even closer than the 5 minute walk to the port.
This comfortable apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, including a large refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. There is an ipod compatible hook-up, high speed Internet WIFI, and Satellite TV with CNN showing in English. There is also a telephone for FREE landline calls within France, as well as to the US, Canada, and Western Europe.
There are 3 bedrooms: one with a queen-size bed, the second with a double bed, and another with twin beds. Linens and towels are provided. Both baths are new: one with tub/shower and sink, the other with toilet and small sink. The dining area table seats six to eight. The living room is large and comfortable. All rooms have French windows for light, air, and charm. There are books and lists of recommended day trips, restaurants, doctors, pharmacists, dentists, and other important information. There is a small balcony for morning coffee.

Many of our renters have returned 2/3/4 + times. To have visited Cassis and stayed in this apartment is to love it!

Since three years we come in this very nice appartement during sylvester for climbing and hiking in the calanques. Its a good equiped really nice appartement very close to the harbour. We will come back!
Nice spacious 3 bed apartment close to everything in the wonderful town of Cassis. Very spacious for an apartment with all that you need, in a quiet and relaxing location.
My husband, two teenage daughters and I stayed in this apartment for a couple of weeks - it was very clean and well equiped and the large ceiling fans in every room made July in Southern France very comfortable. It was only a short walk into the town of Cassis which has so many restaurants, too many for us to get around in two weeks! There is also a handy supermarket five minutes walk away, so we cooked in the apartment on a few occasions, in the excellently equipped kitchen. Lauren has left loads of advice on day trips and Cassis is well placed for trips to Marseille, Gorge du Verdon, Aix en Provence and many other places. Would highly recommend this rental!!
Our stay is Cassis was fabulous thanks to this wonderful apartment to come "home" to. The ceiling fans really helped when the weather outside was hot. It was beautifully decorated and had EVERYTHING, including a clothes dryer and large refrigerator. Located above Cassis, there was no city noise, just the sound of the cicadas singing. Within a very short walk was a grocery store that was air conditioned & had all we could need. Lauren was extremely helpful and very quick at answering any questions. We would stay again.
We have four kids and we first discovered this apartment back in 2004 while living in France, and have returned multiple times. Our 2015 visit was the first time since 2007 and it was like coming home. This time it was my wife, daughter and myself. Hiking in the Calanques is like an experience no where else in the world, and is not to be underestimated. Sanary-sur-Mer, Toulon, and many other towns along the coast are fascinating places to visit, and full of life. The apartment itself is quiet, well furnished, and if I ever had the gumption to buy a place for myself, it would be exactly like this.
We have really enjoyed your apartment and our time in Cassis.
Everything was absolutely perfect, and yours was probably the best
holiday apartment we ever visited -- everything was there, just like home.
Thank you very much!
