About the host
Your host
I'm Danielle, your host and the creator of Just Good Spaces. I'm originally from Michigan, but New Orleans claimed me a long time ago — I fell in love with this city in middle school and never really let go of it. After years in California, I finally made the move in 2018 and haven't looked back once.
I'm a consultant, coach, and entrepreneur who spends my days helping organizations build better cultures — and I bring that same intentionality to hosting. For me, a great guest experience isn't just about a clean space and a good mattress (though you'll have both). It's about feeling like you actually landed somewhere — somewhere with character, warmth, and a little soul.
When I'm not working, you'll find me cooking, exploring the city's food scene, hunting for art and vintage finds, or sitting on a porch somewhere with a good drink and even better conversation. New Orleans does something to you — it slows you down in the best way and reminds you to actually live. I created Just Good Spaces because I wanted guests to have that same experience: a place to exhale, explore, and feel genuinely at home in one of the most alive cities in the world.

Why they chose this property
The House sits in the Uptown/Carrollton-Leonidas neighborhood — one of New Orleans' most residential, lived-in corners, where the city feels like a real place rather than a tourist destination. This is a neighborhood of front porches, local corner stores, neighborhood bars, and just a couple blocks away, streets lined with oak trees and shotgun homes that have been here longer than any of us.
You're close enough to the action — Magazine Street, the streetcar line, Freret Street's restaurant row, Audubon Park — but far enough away to actually hear yourself think. The energy here is neighbors who wave, restaurants where the staff knows your order, and a Sunday that actually feels like a Sunday. It's the New Orleans that locals love and visitors rarely get to see.

What makes this property unique
This home, was built in 2019 and designed in the classic New Orleans shotgun style — the architectural form that defines this city's neighborhoods. You get all the character and charm of that iconic layout with the comfort and peace of mind that comes with everything being fresh, modern, and move-in ready.
What sets this space apart is the intention behind it. Every design choice was made to create an environment that feels curated but not precious — somewhere you can relax without worrying about touching anything. You'll find quality linens, a well-stocked kitchen, and the kind of small touches that make the difference between a place you stay and a place you remember.
This isn't a flipped property with mass-market furniture and a Ring camera pointed at your face. It's a thoughtfully designed home, my actual home of more than 5 years— designed with warmth, personality, and a host who actually cares whether you had a good time.
