About this property
Sunny & Spacious A-Frame with Private Pool and Panoramic Amish Country Views
Kick back and relax in our unique, spacious, and comfortable A-frame home with Amish farmland views for days! The home is filled with natural light and has multiple decks, a gorgeous open living/kitchen/dining area PLUS an enormous great room filled with windows. There are 3 bedrooms with 3 full bathrooms--1 each on 3 separate levels AND 2 full kitchens, making it perfect for family and friends who are looking for a place to gather for quality time and ultimate relaxation. The private pool is the cherry on top and is the perfect place to relax on a hot day after exploring the Lancaster County attractions!
The space
Guests will find plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside the house. Each bedroom is on its own floor and each floor has a bathroom (the master on 3rd floor is an ensuite bathroom). The ground floor of the house is an in-law quarters with a bedroom with king size bed, full bathroom with shower, full kitchen, a living room with a queen size sofa bed, and a nice wide porch to take in all the views. This is where you will enter the home and it is accessed directly from the driveway without any steps. Perfect for groups with individuals with limited mobility. To access the rest of the house there are steps. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front deck and take in the view. In the evenings it makes a great spot for amazing and unobstructed stargazing. There is a gas grill on the deck for guests to use. Rainy day no problem, the entire group can gather on the massive leather couch in the great room and watch a movie or listen to the rain fall on the skylights. Perfection. Two families vacationing together may appreciate the 2 full kitchens (one on main floor one on ground level) allowing freedom to cook and enjoy meals on their own schedules if desired, although there is ample seating on the main floor for everyone to eat together. Listen for the klip klop of hooves and watch the Amish buggies roll by. If you are lucky you will be here on a day when they are working the fields, a truly delightful thing to watch; from this house it is a cinematic experience.
Guests have full access to the decks and all unlocked rooms in the house on all 3 floors.
Other things to note:
Our house is built into a hillside. The lot is fairly steep-steep driveway, steep yard. There really is not any flat yard space, and the backyard is especially steep. There is plenty of deck and porch space to enjoy! We have driveway parking for 3 cars. 8 guests max (not including infants). There is a full size crib and a pack n play in the house for guests to use. Any inquiries for more than 8 guests will be declined. The pool is 4 feet deep, unheated, and is open June 1- October 1.

About the host
Hosted by Laura Rohrer
I live in southern Lancaster County, PA with my husband Clayton, our 1 year old son Clyde, and our Boston Terrier Jessi. We like to spend as much time as we can outside hiking, biking, kayaking, and riding motorcycles. We love to vacation in Maine (where I lived for 5 years), the Adirondacks, and visit friends all over the US. I am a real estate agent and I absolutely love being able to help people find a home they adore. Other hobbies of mine include cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, and seeing live music.
Why they chose this property
We are flanked on the sides by well-kept homes and have Amish farm fields across the street from us and directly behind us. Our street is friendly for walking and biking and we have almost as much Amish buggy traffic as car traffic especially on weekends. You can walk two miles down the road to one of Lancaster County’s famous covered bridges, and walk a mile further to one of several protected Lancaster Conservancy hiking trail networks in our area. We are less than 10 minutes to Sickman’s Mill for tubing and outdoor bar/restaurant (a must in the summer months), under 10 mins to the rail trail for walking and bicycling, 15 minutes to downtown Lancaster, and less than 20 minutes to many wedding venues, the outlets, Dutch Wonderland, Sight and Sound Theater, and more. We have a binder full of things to do locally for you to reference.
What makes this property unique
Kick back and relax in our unique, spacious, and comfortable home with Amish farmland views for days!
