We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it was great for the 17 of us! The kids loved playing pool and the adults were able to enjoy conversations and meals easily. The driveway was steep-be warned-but also made for a fun challenge between the grandkids of who could run up it.

We loved the house and the location. Perfect for our trip, only real complaint was the kitchens could’ve been better stocked, as they lacked some essentials, including a toaster. Otherwise great space.

This is a beautiful property. We had plenty of room for our group. We did have some issues during our stay that had to be dealt with, but most of it was outside of the hosts control. When we arrived the AC in the upstairs wasn’t working. It was resolved the next day but the AC company left the downstairs doors open and tracked in mud. Once again, not the hosts fault. The property is in very close proximity to Dollywood and Gatlinburg. It is on a very steep hill so be aware if you have anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise would definitely stay again.

Great Gataway!

We enjoyed our stay at Bear Hollow. There was plenty of room to relax with family and was just a short drive to the national park for hiking. Teens enjoyed the arcade and pool table and everyone enjoyed the hot tubs.

Host communicated well with us. Bunk room with king size mattresses was a hit. Having 2 houses in one was useful for our family. Only thing that could have been better would be advising guest to use Apple Maps instead of Google Maps. Google takes you to a different property with similar address.

The property was exactly as depicted on the website. The house was very clean and neat. The host answered any questions that I had in a timely manner. We had a total of 16 people and we fit comfortably in the space. The driveway was really steep, but if that’s the only negative about it, that’s fine. I would recommend it to anyone looking to host a large group, and would use it again.

5 Star Cabin

Just enough space ! Came for Springbreak with a party of 20! The owner was very responsive and we didn’t have any issues that were major ! We had proper linen, washer , dryer, enough dishes and pots and pans for cooking . The location is close to the Gatlinburg strip! I would suggest getting a bigger hot water heater or another one . Just like with any large house are multiple people showering the hot water goes fast .

Large Family Vacation

This home (2 really) easily fit our group of 22. By bringing with us 2 cots we did not need to make beds from the sofas.(always inconvenient for all guests). Location meant that driving was always necessary to get to anything but most activities were within a 20 minute drive. If you're using both levels be prepared to go outside and around the side of the house to get to the other level. But the extra level gave more room to spread out and allow more personal space for families. Really liked the bunk beds (king size) and the space for games in one room as most of the grandkids bunked there.and they were content having their own space. Our one negative observation was we all agreed there was too much taxidermy! A little unnerving to see so many racoons staring at you in everyroom!

It was a mess trying to get in. They want a pic of DL but you can't send pic in the app and when they tried to send email it was * out. Sent a text at 11am of my license to the phone number listing, no response til I called at 4 to check in. They said if they didn't get a pic by 4 we could check in until next day. Told her I sent it, but she said she never got. At 415 she said she got but will take 30min to update code. Had to ask to have grass cut. Weeds in back area need sprayed. Need to improve Internet, never a consistent signal. Loved the house otherwise. Had 18 ppl

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we truly appreciate your kind words about the home itself—we’re glad you enjoyed your stay. We’re sorry the check-in process felt frustrating. For the protection of our guests and to prevent the increasing issue of credit card fraud and identity misuse, we do require ID verification for the person whose name is on the reservation. This requirement is clearly disclosed at booking, and door codes cannot be released until verification is complete. Unfortunately, third-party booking platforms do restrict photo sharing, which is why we provide alternative secure options for submitting ID. In this case, there was a delay in receiving the image, which caused the timing issue at check-in. Once received, the code was updated as quickly as possible. We appreciate you bringing the landscaping and internet concerns to our attention—those items have been addressed. We’re always working to improve that experience. We’re grateful you chose our property and are happy to hear you loved the home overall. Your feedback helps us continue to improve while maintaining necessary safeguards to protect our guests and our business.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While we appreciate the 3-star rating, we are always striving to provide a true 5-star experience for every guest. Since no comments were shared, and we did not hear from you during your stay, we’re unsure what may have fallen short during your stay, but we would genuinely value the opportunity to learn more to determine if it was the accommodations, location or something else. Please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can understand and continue improving for future guests. Happy Travels, Renee & Sam Simchon
