Welcome to Heron Hideaway!
Heron Hideaway is a charming waterfront house on Kerr Scott Lake between Boone and Wilkesboro. It has a private dock and views of the lake, the mountains, and the sunsets. Heron Hideaway makes for the ideal family vacation getaway. Only 6 miles to Wilkesboro and 25 miles to Boone make it a convenient destination near shopping and restaurants and less than a half-hour to all the High Country offers.
Activities such as water skiing, fishing, paddling, swimming, and cruising Kerr Scott Lake are yours to enjoy at Heron Hideaway! Foothills Outdoor Adventures is less than 5 miles away, and they provide rentals for tubing, canoeing, paddle boarding, pontoon boats, and more. Bring your boat or arrange for delivery of a rental from the nearby marina. Heron Hideaway also offers a hot tub and pool table. The floating dock at the end of an outdoor stairway provides deep water access, kayaks for guest use, and plenty of room to hang out in the sunshine! This private, wooded frontage on Kerr Scott Lake makes this a memorable family waterfront vacation!
Enjoy stunning views from the sunroom that boasts a large dining table, rocking chairs, and comfortable seating. The lake view also frames the hot tub and gas grill on the back deck. The open kitchen has plenty of space with granite countertops for convenience when making meals for your party. There is a king bedroom on the main floor with a private bathroom, two upstairs sleeping areas sharing a jack-and-jill bathroom, and two twin beds in the lower level common area, including a TV, a couch, games, and the pool table.
Life jackets for all ages are supplied in the lower level closet, along with an inflatable SUP and ROC backpack with a pump and instructions. Supplied paddles are in the stand on the right side of the home. The main level offers central heating and air conditioning, while the lower and upper levels have heat and a/c units to stay comfortable year-round. Two pets are welcome to be included with a reservation.
