About Karen Carmazzi

Thank you for your consideration of vacationing at our Cabin. We think it is wonderful! I was asked a funny but serious question, 'Why are our rates less expensive than others....what's wrong with the cabin'. I answered honestly. With the economy the way it is I want to be competitive but rent out our cabin. Nothing is wrong with it. We are putting our kids through college. I am fair and honest. Please don't mistake that for being naive-----I just don't rent to anyone. I screen my renters and look for high integrity'. We keep it very clean and organized. Any feedback is appreciated. Enjoy!

Karen Carmazzi purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Karen Carmazzi chose Tahoma

We choose this location for two reasons. The blue colors of the Lake are considered the prettiest 'Blues' on the Lake and you get to experience 'old-Tahoe' in this location. You don't have commercial building and the hustle of a city next to our cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

Some unique benefits of our cabin: We are on the Lake side. We are 3 minutes walking distance to our own private home owners association Pier and small beach. Our property is on a private flat dirt road, we have a wonderful view of the Blue Lake Tahoe and the north side of the cabin is greenbelt property thus, spacious forestry to admire. we have our own horseshoe pit for hours of play. You really feel like you found something special at this location.

Tahoe Treasure

  • 5 of 5

The Carmazzi cabin is a treasure. It's a handsomely built mountain home with exposed beams that add to the spacious feel. The span of front windows have views through the trees of Lake Tahoe. It couldn't be more comfortable with great leather furniture, good mattresses and quality linens. The deck is the perfect place to read, enjoy good wine and follow-up with dinner under the stars. Karen made it so easy to rent her home!

Cozy Cabin Charm!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We were able to come up to this darling cabin for a long Labor Day weekend and we were not disappointed! The cabin was very clean and had all of the amenities listed on the home website. It was a short walk to the pier and we never had to get in our car to enjoy the unbelievable views of the lake. We were able to use our paddle boards from the pier which again made it nice not to have to get in the car. The forest area that surrounds the cabin adds to it charm! Morning coffee on the deck and the short walks we took made for a super relaxing weekend. Dominoes and card games were also highlights of our stay.

We highly recommend this location for anyone looking for get away from it all trip!

A great time!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Carmazzi Cabin- easy access to the water and a quiet, well organized lane kept us away from most of the traffic. We would love to be able to come back again sometime soon-I would easily recommend to other friends.

Absolutely Amazing Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to take our honeymoon at Lake Tahoe and we could not be happier that we chose this cabin for our stay. Trust us, the pictures simply do not do it justice. From the beautiful trees that surround the property, to the serenity of the front deck, to the breath-taking views from the private dock, this place has it all, and at a very reasonable price. Inside, it is as comfortable and peaceful as being in your own home. We stayed here for seven days and wanted for nothing.

The cabin is situated perfectly on the west side of the lake, just north of the unbelievable Emerald Bay and just south of the gorgeous Sugar Pine Point State Park. You're only a 30 minute drive from South Lake Tahoe, if you want to do some gambling or shopping, and about the same distance to the north side of the lake. It is in a quiet little neighborhood, away from all the busy tourist areas, which was perfect for us. We filled most of our days with fun excursions all over the lake, but took a day or two to simply relax and enjoy this wonderful home.

The owners are responsive and extremely kind, leaving us a nice little honeymoon gift that was waiting for us when we arrived. We were thrilled with this place and were very sad to leave. My wife and I both knew immediately, as soon as we walked in the front door, that we will definitely come back and stay here again.

Lovely Lake Tahoe Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this beautiful location for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. The cabin is so cozy and has everything you need for your stay. The views of the lake from the owner's pier are absolutely incredible! Morning coffee and afternoon board games on the deck provided a very relaxing time. The kitchen had everything we needed to make delicious meals that we enjoyed while viewing the lake. The owner was so very good to work with and answered all of our questions.

We are so excited to come back!!!

A great house for a family reunion!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week at this cabin in the woods, and really enjoyed our stay there! We had 3 young children with us, and there were plenty of beds and bedrooms for all of us. Many other family members actually had homes on the lake, but their decks were hot in the morning, and the lake was too deep for our youngsters to jump off their docks. We liked the cool mornings on the deck in the forest, and the beautiful sandy beach for the kids to wade into. We even named one of the rocks "mermaid rock", since it was easy to swim to. The owner was very easy to work with, and communicated promptly and often!

SUMMER: Just 3 walking minutes is our own private Home Owners Association Pier and Beach to Rubicon Bay (if Lake is high there might not be a beach). You also have access to a buoy.

WINTER: Just yards from our cabin is a small snow hill for your family to enjoy. We have snow sleds that you may borrow. You will get hours of FUN from this snow hill and when you get tired and cold walk back (3 minutes), warm up, dry out the gloves and sit by the fire and enjoy hot chocolate!!! A real gem!!!
