About Karen Carmazzi

Thank you for your consideration of vacationing at our Cabin. We think it is wonderful! I was asked a funny but serious question, 'Why are our rates less expensive than others....what's wrong with the cabin'. I answered honestly. With the economy the way it is I want to be competitive but rent out our cabin. Nothing is wrong with it. We are putting our kids through college. I am fair and honest. Please don't mistake that for being naive-----I just don't rent to anyone. I screen my renters and look for high integrity'. We keep it very clean and organized. Any feedback is appreciated. Enjoy!

Karen Carmazzi purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Karen Carmazzi chose Tahoma

We choose this location for two reasons. The blue colors of the Lake are considered the prettiest 'Blues' on the Lake and you get to experience 'old-Tahoe' in this location. You don't have commercial building and the hustle of a city next to our cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

Some unique benefits of our cabin: We are on the Lake side. We are 3 minutes walking distance to our own private home owners association Pier and small beach. Our property is on a private flat dirt road, we have a wonderful view of the Blue Lake Tahoe and the north side of the cabin is greenbelt property thus, spacious forestry to admire. we have our own horseshoe pit for hours of play. You really feel like you found something special at this location.

Charming cabin with amazing location!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just got back from the Carmazzi cabin and had such a wonderful time. The cabin was in great condition and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Had plenty of sleeping space for 2 families with kids. The kids loved playing upstairs and riding bikes outside. Short walk to an amazing beach with a pier. Karen was a pleasure to work with in booking and getting everything planned out. We will definitely be back! This is such a gorgeous part of the lake. We hiked up to eagle lake which was a short drive from the cabin. Can’t wait to come back.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

This was our first family trip to beautiful Lake Tahoe. Location of the cabin was great area is beautiful! Cabin is fully stocked with everyday needs. Owner is super friendly and communication is awesome! Cabin is very cozy and spacious! I highly recommend Meeks Bay which is near the cabin. There is plenty to do near the area. The only downfall is the spiders, we dealt with plenty of those throughout the stay day and night. You just have to be on the lookout if you have kids especially who are on the go. Other than that we loved this place!

Owner's Response: So happy that you LOVED our place Adriana!!!!!! We make every effort to insure that the cabin is clean, cozy and fully stocked so renters can spend more time enjoying the lake and not shopping. Glad to see that you were able to experience the recreational amenities of Meek's Bay and Rubicon Bay (a 3-5 minute walk from the cabin) as well as the beauty of picturesque Emerald Bay which is also so close to the cabin (less than 4 miles). Regarding the 2 spiders you mentioned in your text to us that you encountered, this is the first time in the 10 years of renting the cabin where renters have expressed a concern. In fact we were at the cabin prior and after your visit and never experienced this. The other 8 renters we have had this summer also did not have any issues. So this seems to have been an isolated instance but thanks for making us aware. Hope you return soon to enjoy the beauty of the lake!

Charming cabin and perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

I was thoroughly impressed by Karen's cabin. I first want to say that Karen was very responsive to questions. Karen's cabin was extremely charming, clean (which is important to me), and spacious. I loved the short walk to the private dock area. The cabin was a short distance away to pretty much everything. It was the first cabin I've ever stayed in that we want to come back to! The only con to this cabin was how close it was to the main road but this is a stretch for a con based on all of the positives this cabin has to offer.
