As long-time locals (thirty plus years), we are always available to assist with your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable Tahoe experience from booking to check-out. El Dorado County | VHR 073576| TOT #1605 | Max Occupancy is 8 - AT ALL TIMES | 3 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. County quiet hours are 10 PM - 8 AM. Strict enforcement of occupancy during quiet hours.
County Rules As part of the Vacation Home Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 10pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time. Outdoor hot tubs cannot be used during quite hours.
Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night during the hours of 10pm and 7am, seven days a week.
Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.
Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel. Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.
Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.
Office Holiday Hours The TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Home was clean and view was beautiful. TTVR is very responsive during their business hours and answers any questions you have. It was a wonderful stay for my family and I would not hesitate to stay with TTVR again!
Beautiful views and great layout. My parents, kiddo and dog all loved it.

We’re always striving to provide a wonderful Tahoe experience, and we wish we’d had the chance to hear from this guest during their stay if anything was amiss and giving it only 4 stars. We understand no home is perfect, but if there were beautiful views and a great layout and the whole family "loved it", we hope future guests will see it as deserving 5 stars. It really is a fabulous home!
Overall very good stay. The view is amazing and we had a good time. Some of the furniture is a bit dated and also we found some bedding stains, otherwised wouldve given 5 stars

Great news! Since being informed of a stained sheet in this review, we have had them replaced!
We would have been happy to do so during this guest's stay but only found out about the issue here. Please note we are always available to help during your stay via phone, text, and email!
This cabin makes time together with family more special, with the beautiful view of the lake time stands still. The Kitchen has everything you need and being pet friendly the whole family can come. Check in and Check out are easy. Prior to my visit all my questions were answered timely.
Spent a wonderful week at this property with two small children and grandparents. Plenty of room for everyone and the views were even better in person. Downstairs bathroom has not been remodeled and was very outdated but still serviceable. Would highly recommend
Cozy stay for our family getaway. Nice spot that was pet and child friendly. Some of the furniture could use some updating but the location and view definitely made for a great stay.
Really WONDERFUL property! Exactly as described, or perhaps even undersold, as the lake and mountain view from the deck is just amazing! Looking forward to renting here again during another season as it snowed (loved it!) for a couple days, which meant we stayed cozy inside and watched the snowflakes fall.
Everything was great and beautiful. The location was perfect. The only thing was that some of the furniture was damaged and broken on arrival which we had to be cautious about.

Railing on staircase need to be connected with new bolts and mounting brackets on stairs - very loose. Plates all chipped. Sliding glass door screen needs to be replaced - very difficult to slide. Downstairs bathroom has paint chipping on ceiling and mold on ceiling. Laundry room smells heavily of mold.

Great news! All the plates are being replaced, the stair railing has been secured with new bolts and brackets, the sliding glass door screen has been looked at, and the bathroom ceiling has been thoroughly cleaned and the spot removed. We also took care of the laundry room odor so future guests will have a fresh experience.
Communication is key and we were in regular contact with this guest helping to coordinate her early check in request and her late check out. She never mentioned any of these items or we would have taken care of them immediately. But it appears she enjoyed her stay since she requested extended time on both ends! We would welcome her back!
View from the main living space is as great as it looks in the pictures. Beds are comfortable, deck is great, living room is cozy. Only downside is that all three downstairs bedrooms share one bathroom, but not that big of a deal. Host is informative and responsive. Would definitely stay again!
We had a great time staying at the Penthouse! The view was fabulous, the location was great, and it was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 small kids. It is located between center and west village so it was an easy walk to both. The hot tub was great, the condo was very clean and cozy, and check in was easy. We would definitely stay again!
Can’t beat the view. Stellar. Great location. Nice big property. A little old. Hard beds. Overall excellent t stay.
