About Rick Cornelius

I am a retired teacher who has made Ashland my home for the past twenty-five years. I am an avid hiker, frequent golfer and bicyclist, former volunteer of the Britt Festival, and a patron for many years of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. I've had the opportunity to travel extensively across the country, but have yet to find a region that equals the physical beauty and cultural diversity of the Rogue Valley and Southern Oregon.

Fantastic Stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this stylish top floor condo for seven months while considering whether to move to Ashland. We couldn’t have made a better choice. It’s filled with light, has a great layout, and is tastefully furnished. It has a warm cozy feel, but also seems bigger than its square footage. The main living/ dining area has the best Mt. Ashland view in town, and opens onto a wonderful terrace where we loved to sit and soak in the beauty! Kitchen and bathrooms are high quality. Despite the cold winter months the heating system kept us warm as toast. One of the things we liked best was the fact that we could walk out the door and in a few minutes be strolling along Bear Creek and through Mountain Meadows Park. It was just a short bike ride to downtown or the Ashland/Medford bike trail. Landlords Kathi and David, long-time fixtures in the Ashland community, made us feel very welcome and were attentive to all our needs (although frankly the place was so problem free we didn’t have to bother them much). If you’re looking for a nice pied-a terre while you get to know Ashland this place is a gem.

it is a winner!!

  • 5 of 5

it was a joy to stay here...the place is teriffic! We rented for the month of July(2012) and found it to be the perfect place. The views were magnificent from the Balcony, and it was a pleasure to sit in the evening over a glass of wine and just "drink" in the area. There is so much to do and see in this general area and this was the perfect location.

The owner/landlord was a very wonderful gracious woman that was all about pleasing your needs. We can't say enough good things about her...

For That Just-Right Get-Away

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for lodging that would let us sample living in Ashland, and Kathi's beautiful condo certainly filled our needs. The view of town and Ashland Mountain are simply incredible. We experienced rain, snow and sun during our three weeks, all while staying cozy and warm in the well appointed 1000 sq. ft. condo. Try Morning Glory for breakfast and Black Sheep Pub and Restaurant for that British Pub atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Great getaway and work related retreat

  • 5 of 5

I needed more space than a suite style hotel room to complete a work related project. I happened upon this lovely open floor plan condo with a bedroom and den and found a place that was eventually hard to leave. It is a great place to wake early and take in the unbelievable view. I found that I could easily relax and complete my projects with time to spare. In the evenings I was off to the theater and found the local Varsity theater a great place for movies. This town is full of serious movie connoisseurs. The landlord is outstanding; she provides the little things that make a place special like flowers and candles. She even got me started on the local Nobel Coffee by providing my first freshly roasted bag. The home has beautiful art, great linens and a cozy fireplace for chilly evenings.

I recommend this condo without reservation and it is about half the price of everything else that I considered, yet it has twice the amenities. Reserve it early; It is April and I just tried to book the condo for September and it is already rented. I wish I could go in October, but Oh well-next year.

Truth in Advertising

  • 4 of 5

We lived easily in this condo for two months in early 2011. Of the many amenities, we favored the well equipped kitchen, the more than comfortable bed, and the generous dining area. The view! The view! Even on foggy days, the view was spectacular.

North Mountain Park and the areas around it gave us plenty of diversity and pleasure on our daily walks.

The parking garage and the recycling and trash receptacles helped us maintain our "green" habits.

As we drove away, we began planning a return.
